Groatie - well done on the walk.
When I am not skint, I work as a freelance event organiser - initially weddings but I have switched to corporate events and business networking events.
Today, I have applied for a job as a duty manager for a national coach firm. I have a fair few fingers in the pie. I used twitter to put an appeal out as I am an experienced PA, I have also been badgering an agency about temp work too although my self employment has frightened them they forget that us self employed have to do everything and don't have to be spoonfed information like some employees so we are more adaptable to changes in circumstance.
Today, I made a boob in Sainsbury's - I had picked up some milk bags (they were 2 for £1.50 and were equivalent to 4pints) and one was leaking so I went to exchange it when I spotted a man in a black top laden down with stuff so I mistakenly thought he was a member of staff and reported this milk bag to him - he was a customer doing his shopping:o How embarrassing is that?:eek:0 -
Sorry to drag down the positivity but I have a question to ask.
I managed to tread on my manager's toes today (didn't mean to) and got rather unpleasant email from her. It is not first time I have got the lash of her bad mood and I am not the only one who feels this way. I got very upset and managed to compose myself by going to do the coffee round.
So what would you do? Just let it go and carry on, talk to the manager about it in a calm manner, update your CV and get the hell out of there?
In the first instance: Document every incident and keep any emails of that nature.
Unsure if calm, rational discussion will help, I've worked with similar people in the past and it hasn't been productive - maybe it's just me;)
Then update your CV and get the heck out of Dodge!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

If that's the worse thing you've done today, you're doing well0 -

Free exercise, beautiful scenery and is sheer contentment after so many years:)

Never manage to really enjoy autumn - I'm too concious of winter following it.0 -
September= new start for me too, I've been trying to get back into the matrix but I can't find a post by MrF for me to pm him. I've done a search but the MrF that came up appears to not be active on the forums anymore and never posted on Memorygirls threads  Can anybody help?Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

My heart gave a leap for joy when I read this (and my eyes went a bit leaky too). It is so important to celebrate every "first time" you do something as part of a recovery as it is the culmination of all the effort put in to reach that point and also paves the way for the next goal.
A big welcome to Horace, hugs for Crickett and I trust your suit enabled your meeting to go well. Hugs for Marru too - hope you can get things sorted out with your manager.
PS Not sure I'm making sense today - am tired and have done a few daft things ie only just realised it's the first of the month today despite the date being displayed very prominently on my computer screen etc and I should have dealt with the monthly financials a few days ago. Ooops. Luckily on this occasion no harm done.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0
