Evening everyone
Have enjoyed reading the thread over the last couple of days (but still haven't finished reading yet:o) and am looking forward to the new frugal month & the challenges it brings!!
Have managed to do the last few August daily challenges, have my notebook ready, and am sitting in my "place of my own" - it's not ideal as it's in the lounge, but it'll do!!! (Plus I can only sit here at night once kids have gone to bed:cool:)
MG - have bookmarked your blog and I'm sure it'll make for interesting reading over the next few months and years...best of luck with your challenge!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Hi all,
Cream crackered to the nth degree tonight and the bloody computer ate my post.
Sorry to hear about your mum and dad, crickett: if it's any consolation, skin cancer tends to very treatable and my great aunt had a good quality of life for nearly 2 decades after being diagnosed with Parkinson's, so if your dad has it, he might also have a good quality of life for a long time to come.
Hi and hugs to everyone else.0 -

If you could muster up a job with same salary as H currently has that would be great. Off to depress myself looking at house prices on rightmovetellmeitsfriday wrote: »We watched that on the news too - I am surprised that there isn't an official ceremony each time someone is brought back.
Horrible thought - have they changed back to the other airport so that the ceremonies stop? There was talk on the news that it's been changed due to PR!!!
A friend came over this evening, so I've had a rather late night (not ideal mid week, just before my first day back at work after a few days off... But nice). I've wrapped OH's presents and will prioritise getting the house and myself ready to see him tomorrow. After all, I have done some work (emails, filing, adding pictures to my presentation) while I was off.
Looking forward to the new challenges tomorrow!0 -

Well . . . Try this link and see what you think.
Leaving aside any discussion about whether 'we' should be in Iraq or Afghanistan, 'we' sent our soldiers out there and we should respect their sacrifice. But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

Happy new month everyone - and woohoo MG, a sparkly brand new challenge! :j:j
I always feel a sense of anticipation at the start of September, particularly so this year. It always feels like a time of hope and positivity. Cheers to everyone for all good things and the achievement of personal aspirations, goals, targets and longings!:T:TIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Nope, it's because they were only flying into Lyneham because Brize Norton was having the runways upgraded. Everything always used to go into Brize Norton and will again... And its more central so makes much more sense.
If that's true then fair enough, I didn't know about the runwayWell . . . Try this link and see what you think.

Indeed!
In the long run it doesn't matter if it goes through a village/town or whatever - but we should honour them, publicly, each time. It's "our fault" they've died (in a way, if you know what I mean). It only takes a few minutes, and compare to what they've lost that's nothing.0
