Re flour weevils. I had them and they spread to every single cupboard in my kitchen. I used bleach, hairdryer (for heat to kill them) and it took MONTHS for the little beggars to die
Rather than kilner jars I used Lock 'n' Lock boxes from Lakeland. These aren't cheap but are airtight. Morrisons also sell similar version which is cheaper but not necessarily sold in the sizes/shapes that Lakeland sell.
Marru - had said it on FB but will say it again on here woooooo hooooooo for passing :TI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

My house is clean
What she achieved in 4 hours is more than I would normally manage in a week... She doesn't have any regular free slots, but is going to let me know whenever she has a cancellation. So I have incentive to get my study cleared, and she can do that next time.
I've also got lots of paperwork done... Printed last year's tax return to file (can't find 2008 or 2009), printed all my payslips to date and my P11D (so no excuse not to do the tax return now...), printed all my expenses cover sheets so I can attach receipts to them, and submitted a claim for broadband costs (if they refuse to pay it I'll be seriously !!!!ed off) backdated to Jan as I didn't dare do it for the full two years I've been working here...
As it's sunny, I think I might spend the afternoon in the garden and work when it cools downthere are windfall apples to pick up for a start.

Working today but cupboards bleached first thing this morning. Will be done again later. I dont buy in bulk, it was a new bag of flour. Havent caught them in time though because they are in the cupboard. Luckily it is a cupboard on its own away from the other cupboards where only the baking stuff was kept. Could be worse. Checked all other cupboards and they seem fine.
I am itching all over though. Busy work day so quick fly by. Feeling very focused and organised so dont want to lose the flow. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
They have moved it now
Good I'm glad you said they and not you. I had 3 different friends around last week all bemoaning what their family members do not do.. tbh I don,t get it here if somebody doesn't do what is expected it is highlighted to them and then they do it - simples. If I do it they don't learn and I feel cross, what is the point of that?

G*sh the Matrix has been a hive of activity the last two days - well done ladies.
Here at Thrifty Towers it's all go - the last of thinning the veggies has been done; little darlings should have lots of space now to grow nice and big. The peas now have canes to grow up, the birdbox has been sanded and first coat of woodstain is on, the shed has been moved, the guttering and woodwork that was hiding behind the shed has been washed and painted and the chipboard covering the garage window has finally received a second coat of paint - phew.
Grass/weed combo still needs strimmed - trying to get loads done before the weather changes again, darn British weather :rotfl:.
Take care all, Thriftyxxx0
