Right, that's my darling GS gone home now. He's been here since Friday and we have done nothing other than walk, picnic and play so time to get on with the challenges. I have a big cupboard out on the porch, so full thatall the stuff falls on you if the door is opened so the plan is to get that emptied and organised as my store cupboard. I started this weeks ago, lost the will to live and just flung it all back in, so today/tonight/tomorrow I work like a trojan - if it kills me I WILL get this sorted. I have shelves, paint and all the tools required so this will be a satisfying bit of work to complete. Wish me luck!Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21

:j yay well done master MG
I can honestly say it was joining this thread which has made me do the car boot sale so thank you all.
Having a cuppa, going to sort out all that is left and store in 3 lots - save for another car boot, try on ebaby, give to charity shop.
Feel inspired to have another declutter now and collect another load of stuff for the next carboot. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Slowly chipping away at the school stuff - 2 bags decluttered to the recycling bins already and more will be done later.
Icklies have returned from day out with Nan so need to feed and bath them before carrying on with gutting those frogs - messy but necessary just 1 week to go before I return to the madness.
Well done master MG - we still celebrate every evening when ds has 'performed' :rotfl::oMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

I've been super busy today too.
I attacked the cupboard of doom and cleqrd out 3 bags of junk. Also got it all back in more tidily too. Will take photos and post when laptop is back.
On top of that i have done all washing and cut and tidied up grass in the back garden.
That's four out of the ten jobs on my holiday list done today. Well done me.
Think i will fo some crafty stuff now xx0 -
Good evening
Been busy here too:)
Dh has done 6 hours of ironing  all up to date now, just needing to be put away
I have
washed and dried 2 loads of washing, (also ironed by Dh)
decluttered the bathroom shelves, cleaned sink loo and shower, washed floor
cleaned kitchen, even re emptied DW ready for tea.
de cluttered stairs, brushed and washed them
cleaned hallway.
Still loads to do here, but the house is starting to look goodBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Bills are paid
except the bathroom which I'm going to pay by cheque when I return the guarantee form tomorrow. (Don't let me forget!) I also keep forgetting to do my meter readings which are due this weekend, so might switch on the work laptop as the account details are saved there and do that next. Plus it means i can check over the other side... Washing up is done, and vases are soaking in Milton fluid to disinfect them.
I have some fresh sweetcorn that needs eating, so might have that for supper. I also need to out away the carrots, leeks and onions that I picked up at the farm shop on Friday. And do some meal planning... I still haven't made a start on the cakes for my nephew's birthday, but have 2 weeks. I need to make sure I have enough sugar paste and that it isn't rock hard!
Any suggestions for presents for his first birthday? I thought a large cardboard box might be a nice idea but I'm not sure my DB and SIL would appreciate it0 -

I'm glad you're having fun MG
I bet DS1 is looking forward to being back at school tomorrow...
Meter readings done and my gas is averaging around £41/month and electricity around £54/month and I'm almost at the bottom of the chart for usage in my area compared to people with similar houses and populations... It would, of course, be lower if it hadn't been such a bad year for line-drying!
Meal plan is progressing rather more slowly as I'm finding it hard to be inspired.0
