Thanks ladies
... not sure winning the fruitcakeiest relation makes me feel better or not though!
I'm now worrying the crazy gene is floating round our family and that somehow it will appear in beanie (my first baby) due in December. My sister is... exceptional. Tremendously clever, sometime naively childlike and charming, othertimes angry, bizarre and unmanageable!
Nearly missed a work flight on concorde to New York once, as she kept the taxi waiting so she could find the above mentioned toy to take with her so he wouldnt miss out... or the other time she made us all wear superhero outfits and guinea pig masks to a restuarant for my mums 50th. Refusal was not an option!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

On a slightly lighter hearted note, but just as annoying... my older sister (nearly 40), turned up to my wedding last year dressed as an ostrich. Her words " i'm wearing my ostrich outfit".
Ostrich outfit as in 'some sort of fancy feathery affair' or ostrich outfit as in 'an actual ostrich outfit..... as in a dress up ostrich outfit'?
I have to clarify this cos I can't quite believe it's an actual ostrich outfit.

LOL. No, i suppose it is some relief that it was not infact a dress up ostrich outfit. More in the line of emu/ostrich comedy get up.. electric blue body, flurescent (sp) yellow tights, neon orange shoes..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hard call to make though huh! Strange how she doesnt make it into many of our wedding pics isnt it. And worse of all, she REALLLY doesnt get how there was anything wrong with it.

I'm suddenly having an idea for a new website in the People of Walmart vein:
Mad wedding guests of the World.
MIL is asking when I can come and stay down there.
I rather like sitting at home alone, other than the cats, drinking large quantities of lager, eating takeaway food and lots of ice cream, whilst watching dodgy monster movies when there is no child to look after.
Trying to tactfully explain that I would need surgical extraction from the sofabed in her spare room, the bungalow is in the arzend of nowhere, unlike my house which is round the corner from shops and humanity, and her high pitched, maximum volume voice squawking at me at 7am does my head in, not to mention her five million menthol fags an hour, without hurting her feelings, because she's actually rather nice, is harder than telling a spiteful ex SIL to f off and die before I do knock her block off.
(Which I did when the very first exSIL made up stories that I used to beat her up and broke her nose in a fight when I had never so much as raised my voice to her)
What do I have to do to p this woman off???
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
