  • Hi Livvy,

Hope youve had a good week. Did you get a nice surprise when you opened your wage slip then?

Have you got anything nice planned for the weekend? xx

  • Hi Mummy,
I've had a good week thanks and I am feeling quite well today as DD slept another full night in her own bed. Payslip was £80 less than I worked out...will have to revise my calcs.

I won a lippy with a code from the Special K bars today, it wasn't even my box lol. I was talking to a man at work and he had some boxes in his recycle bin...how shocking is that? I don't feel too bad as I didn't steal them, hope he doesn't want his winnings ha ha.
I have put the lottery on for tonight and the next 4 weeks.

I have been busy tidying the house as I have a viewing on Sunday, its the man whose house I like. The thing is, my friend has her house (same style as mine) up for sale over the road so he is going to see hers first and if he prefers hers then nothing I can do but wouldn't it be good if we could do a swap? I'm not holding out a great deal of hope the way my luck has been lately but hey, its worth a try.

I have had a Mr T delivery tonight...£60 and hardly anything for it. I'm off to Mr Al's over the weekend for the rest of the stuff but freezer is now full so no batch cooking for me yet.

Ordered The Takeaway Secret the other night, gonna have a bash at cooking something nice for me and one of my friends.

Watching Come Dine With Me with my wine now...I lurve that program.

  • Hi LL!

Just popping by to see how things are going, hope the viewing went well. Takeaway secrets book is fab (you know I love my takeaways!)

    Hope you're alright, xxxx
    I'll get there!
  • Morning MrsP.
Aw lovely to hear from you, the viewing went really well thanks and because I knew the man he invited me to look at his house straight after he looked at mine. We were both happy to do a swap until he got a letter on Monday to say he is facing redundancy so has to put things on hold for now...so back to square one for me (there was me thinking my luck had changed...getting back in my box!!!!).

One good thing came of it though, OH has finally got his finger out and applied for a loan (or so he reckons, will believe it when I see it).

How are you? Are you any further forward with your car trauma?

I had a busy weekend with DD's friends parties, food shopping, viewings and cleaning out the inside of my car. I went to the car wash to have the outside of it washed too but they were closed, so tomorrow I am popping to Mr Al on my lunch time as they are getting all the car wash equipment in. A tennar and I could have all the stuff to do it myself...very MSE as a car wash at the garage is a fiver.

March's birthday pressies are now all sorted and in budget. Was a bit annoyed as bought Dads card from Moonpig (In the old days thats where I got every single card from), but he will love it as I have got him a picture card of myself and DD with stickers on our noses.

Going to have to buy my lunch from canteen today (grrr), was out getting lash extensions last night...they look fab and have cheered me up a bit.

  • Nothing quite cheers me up like some lovely lashes!

Shame about the guys redundancy, for both of you's. What's for you won't go by you, I bet there's an even better house waiting on you :)

Car drama continues, I sent back my SOA, it actually showed I had £19 more outgoing than incoming, so I offered them £5 pm until my circumstances change or full and final of £210 (cheeky! Worth a try though!) Just waiting on them getting back to me.

More debt though, phoned HMRC to change my dd details and they said I there was another £160 overpayment on our joint claim. Great, but they can't take what I don't have!

However, ex's solicitors have been in touch and wanted evidence of our debt, which I have given them so hopefully he'll have to put his hand in his pocket soon. That'll stop him boasting about all his new stuff when he comes to get the kids
    :rotfl:

I should update my diary, but it's just too depressing!!xx

I totally agree, its obviously not my time yet. Not meant to be.

I saw a shooting star last night, was so excited! Hopefully its a sign of good things coming.

Well they can't take it off you if you haven't got it and the good thing is you have sent the SOA back before you get all the extra money off OH (which I am sure you will get) to help pay for the debt! Why is it, when men leave the family they just think they are automatically single and have no responsibilities at all?

I have been to Mr Al's today and bought every single thing in the shop to wash my car with....£18! Car wash is £5 so will have to make sure I wash my car 4 times to get my money back ha ha.

Had a bl**dy awful day at work, deffo having wine tonight!

Just think when you are debt free, you can treat your car to a car wash once in a while :D

Got a letter back from the solicitors dealing with the car debt and.....they're will to accept £210 as full and final!! Yeah!

Now, where am I going to get £210 from.....:rotfl:

Have a glass of wine for me two please, I'm too poor for wine!xx

Aw MrsP, if only you were closer then you could come over and share my wine. I used to get the £3.50 bottle from Mr Al's but I have upgraded recently to one I recognise which is £4.50...still cheaper than before MSE.

Right I have been having a think of how you can make £210, do you have any baby stuff you could sell on ebay? I have recently sold all DD's bedroom furniture, have you got a moses basket or anything like that? I also sold DD's clothes, did well the first week but it dwindled so couldn't be @rsed after that.
Also when OH first split our money I sold my gold, I only had a little bit but it got me £200.

I will keep thinking for you so you don't have to sell your body, wine makes me have more ideas lol.

    Hi LL
Had a catch upon your diary and your doing fab, you also sound really positive!
Hope everything works out with the house, ggrr to the possible redundant man and thr possible swap! BUT everything happens for a reason
Went to see a psychic Tuesday night and she told me 2015 will be my year with money?? Wonder if that's my debt free year? But she also said everything happens for a reason and we should (to an extent) go with the flow.....

    Have a nice day

  • I don't know if I can bring myself to sell baby stuff yet! I'm soo sentimental this time round. I have about £110 put away and my Dad has offered to lend me the rest, interest free. It'll be another £110 worth of debt, but not 'bad' debt.

Might have to try Mr A's for cheap plonk, think that'll be my treat this weekend while the kids are away!

Hope you have a nice weekend.xx
