  • Morning,

I am feeling quite happy today even though I have had a sore throat for a few days now. It went and came back grrrr.
I think its because the weather is warmer and DD managed to spend the whole night in her own bed, she shouted me about 5-6ish but when I answered I think that was enough to calm her.

I know Mummy, there is no way I could be a Dentist (esp in that area), or a chiropodist.

Right this morning I have been rejigging my birthday sheet on my Spreadsheet, I have budgets for everyone. I have reduced OH's family ones as I only need to get them a token gesture off DD and I now, I have added some people and changed DD's budget to £200 so it includes her party (OH should give me half for this). I was already saving £52 a month and this works out £60 a month....so not really much of a change! Gives me a bit extra a month for the parties DD gets invited to.

Had a lovely day on Saturday, DD and I went to the beach with my mate and her dogs, DD was wrapped up warm and had a lovely time. Yesterday OH had her so I cleaned, ironed and did some food shopping (£30). By the time I was finished she was back. I am going to do something with her every Saturday, even if its just a bike ride to the park, we don't have enough quality time together as I am always doing boring Mummy jobs.

Have rang EON and I have managed to change the account holder into my name. Then the man said to wait until the end of the month to change my tarrif as prices are coming down, just as well as I couldn't find anything cheaper than what I pay now on USwitch.
So all OH has to sort out now is Payment Protection, SKY and the joint loan. Doesn't really matter about SKY as when he sorts that out he is gonna stop paying so the more he puts it off the cheaper it is for me.

Chicken pasta bake for tea mmmmm.

  • Hi there,
Well another full nights sleep for me YEY! DD is sleeping all night in her new bed and last night even said she didn't need me there when she went off to sleep. I actually had to go in her bedroom and wake her up this morning. I seriously can not remember the last time I had a full nights sleep.

I asked OH about the loan again last night, he said he had looked into getting another one but didn't know how much he owed on the current one (excuses are wearing thin now). So this morning I came to work, rang the loan people for a settlement figure and sent the details in a text to him. Taking the bull by the horns this week.
Its his Grans b'day tomorrow so I wrote a card out off me and DD and asked him to deliver it to her. They are all going for a meal tomorrow night for it and taking DD with them...I must be well and truly blown out.

I had carbonara for tea last night with cream which was past its sell by date, it tasted OK so I had it for lunch today too. How very MSE? Pizza chips and coleslaw tonight...not quite the same as fillet steak for two, but its a good TV tonight so I will be happy.

Should be an NSD today. I bought myself a Valentines day pressie yesterday lol, a charm for my bracelet. OH didn't bother getting me anything last year so its not like I'm not used to it.

  • Morning Diary,

Not a lot to report today, I have checked bank accounts and nothing changed. I can't wait until I get my pay at the end of this month as I will have my payrise in it and some backdated money. I have allocated it all into my pots already. I keep getting urges to spend ha ha, but the urge to save is just as strong so thats good, I can't wait until I move and all my money is sorted out, then I will just be spending on decorating and making a lovely home for me and DD.

No more viewings on the house though, I reckon the road is going to put people off anyway so probably going to be in there for a while. I guess it doesn't really matter and my time will come.

I had my tea and watched Gok followed by Big Fat Gyspy Wedding last night, it makes me cry that kids at school feel the need to bully other kids. I guess as a parent its so hard not to jump in and get them told, but it just makes it worse for the kids doesn't it?

I have £200 left in my joint account and there are 9 days until pay day. Could this be the first time I have ever had more than £100 left in my joint account on pay day? I think I will have to have a little celebration.

Hi Mummy, I watched that super scrimpers and funny enough Jamie Oliver did the same on one of his programs the other week. Its a good idea isn't it?

I was upset Super Scrimpers wasn't on on Monday, I had my night of tv planned aswell.

Working on my spreadsheet today for house selling and buying, I will start on worse case scenario for now.

  • Hi there,
Just a quicky as I am busy at work.

Going to In laws tonight (grrr), its DD's cousins birthday so will take her to pop a pressie in and maybe stay for an hour.

I mentioned the loan to OH again last night and said I needed him to sort one out as I would like to get a mortgage for a nice house for me and DD. For some reason he was being nice about everything and even said when the weather is warmer he is going to come and do the garden...can't help thinking he is up to something.

Having left over pasta bake for dinner.

Hi Mummy, do you think it really is as easy as it looks?

I have decided that this weeks challenge for me is to have £100 left in my bank on pay day! Should be doable as not sure what I would spend the other £100 on anyway.

I popped to Mr Al at lunch time and bought a tool kit ha ha, I am going to need it on my new venture and I have a feeling OH will take all the tools he finds.

  • Hey diary,
Well my weekend has been really hectic and I don't seem to have been in the house for long.

Spent Saturday at soft play and pottery painting with DD and my mate followed by DM staying over with lots of wine, and then yesterday we went to b'day party with OH's family and then to the pub for tea with my friends.

    Spends:
£17 soft play and lunch, £30 pottery painting (DD painted a bowl and a mug for OH and MIL's bdays next month), £6 at party and £18 for lunch and wine.

I also bought a bra (£30) as I had a professional fitting and thought it would be nice to have one bra that fits seeing as though most of the bras in my draw are the wrong size now lol.

We didn't have a takeaway on Saturday night as I made DM dinner and my lasagne was absolutely gorgeous (even though I do say so myself :p).

So this morning I have moved money from DD's activity spends and money from Birthday spends into regular account and also £30 for bra from clothes budget, and I have made a meal plan and from it a shopping list so when its pay day I will get a delivery from Mr Ts and pop to Mr Al's on Sunday after the kids b'day party at 9am!!!!!_pale_

I have £132 left in current account and £22 left in purse....until payday. Think I might manage my challenge. :A

Because I had a busy weekend I feel very unorganised in my house, I did manage to pull myself round last night and wash DD's bedding (as she was sleeping in my bed) and hung it out to dry this morning. Tonight I will pick up shopping from DM's, tidy play room and put another washing load in.

  • Morning,
I am full of the joys of spring today, I did go to bed at 9:30 last night and managed to sleep! Also I didn't have any wine...wonder if that has something to do with it? Anyway I ended up getting up earlier and got to work a little earlier so it will be early to leave YEY!

I have been and checked accounts today and I have £66 left in the food and petrol budget and £135 left in my account, £10 left in my purse. So if nothing crops up between now and Friday thats how it should stand on payday.
I wish my payslip would come because I don't know if I have estimated my wage correctly.

I will book a slot for Mr T (probs Friday night), then I can get the rest from Mr Al on Sunday after the 9am birthday party. I have to be careful I don't go overboard as I only have 1 little freezer now, at least its making me spend less and make sure I do my meal plans.

I enjoyed Super Scrimpers last night, when they were talking about spending lots of money on weekends away and nice pressies, it kind of reminded me how I got to where I am with my debt.

Child benefit went into DD's account today, I need to make a list of the things she needs as her underwear is looking a bit small and her white socks are now grey. She also needs more bobbles and clips.

Think I might have to make pancakes tonight, DD eats at nursery though so do I make them just for me? I might have to as I don't think I have anything left which makes a full meal lol. I have lemons in the freezer so will get those out.

I checked TopCashBack and had £7 waiting for payment, so I have been and moved that into account.

    Enjoy your pancakes x

  • Morning,
Well I am not as perky today, I think its because I had 2 glasses of wine last night. So tonight I am not having any!

I have put my bedding in the wash before work and I will pop home at lunch time to take it out as otherwise it won't be dry, I have a meeting until 5pm and OH can't pick up DD from nursery as he is working late, plus the road is closed up to nursery, so I won't get home until gone 5:30!
Checked accounts today and the dog insurance has come out again (thats twice this month), so I have cancelled the DD. OH reckoned he cancelled it so he was either telling a porky or the insurance has taken the money regardless.

Had 2 pancakes last night, a golden syrup one and a lemon and sugar one. DD had already had some at nursery but the teacher said she wasn't keen.

I have got all my fingers crossed that we get our payslips today...I am a bit over excited lol.

The Tesco shopping app isn't working on my phone grr! It won't let me log in, so I have nipped on the net at work and booked a slot for between 5 and 7 on Friday. I have literally got exactly what I need and its come to £43 !!!!!!? I have hardly got anything. I will spend the rest in Aldi either Saturday or Sunday.

    Hi Mummy,
Yeah Superscrimpers was an eye opener, OH and I never spent that much on gifts but we did like to go away and eat out alot...OH couldn't handle the fact that we were going to have to pay it back and when I tightened the money belt he couldn't understand why we didn't have the lifestyle we were used to. Groan.
