  • Hi Mummy,
I used to think DD was a carrier but this year its caught up on her bless. Hopefully the rest of the year she will be sickness free.

I've already spent the money for the cot lol, I decorated DD's bedroom and got her all new furniture, but hey its money back to replace some of what I spent.

OH changes his mind like his socks, the other week he was hiring a skip to chuck everything. I think he just says what he thinks will hurt me in the moment.

  • Aww, sorry to hear your DD has the chicken pox :(

I know what you mean about your ex saying anything to hurt you, mine is the same. We started off on really good terms and now it's a war between us.

Loads of DVD's, a few days indoors and DD will be right as rain.xx
    I'll get there!
  • Hi all,

I know Mrs P, I don't think anything can stay on good terms when you split up, we are OK one minute and then when he doesn't get his own way over something he starts to kick off.

DD is so poorly bless her, she is itching and really upset. We have had hardly any sleep and she asked me to help her last night, I felt awful coz I can't do anything except supply medicine and calamine lotion.

Did a freezer inventory last night and filled a sack with food that has been in the chest freezer far too long. Then I realised the blooming thing was defrosting so I have managed to save as much as I can and I will bin the rest. I have done a meal plan for the next 16 days as the freezer in the kitchen is jam packed.
I looked online and I can get a new one for £140 so will do that.

OH has called to say we have a viewing but he was at work so didn't take the message. He is going to work tomorrow now as DD is ill, said he will just have her for a couple of hours!!!!!

I was going to wash my car today but its far too cold so DD and I got in the car and went to get it done for us. We sat in the car whilst they did it so we got some fresh air and had a little drive out. It was £5, in the summer I am going to do it myself.

The man is coming to collect the cot in the morning, then hopefully I will get to put the money in the bank one lunch time.

Think I have got cabin fever.

I am going to have to do another good clean if we have a viewing. I have seen 2 houses I like, both the same style and both with south facing garden which is very high up on my list of choices.

    Another night in tonight aaargh.

  • Hi there,

Hi Mummy, DD is a lot better today thank you. Her spots have started to scab and she isn't itching She was so poorly yesterday, her eye was swollen and her lip and all she did was sleep, I ended up taking her to a walk in clinic as I was worried about her eye but the scab is only on her eye lid and not inside.

Aw we have a south facing garden now and come the summer I am always out there so it is essential that the next house has one too.

Well I went shopping to Ald*s yesterday and got some things for the fridge, I also bought 2 boxes and a bucket for when I clean my car. The boxes I have used in the understairs cupboard for christmas paper and cards and the other is for birthdays. I just need to go through the shoes now and clear those out.

Today we are staying at home so might get that done but I feel at least I am making progress.

Will ring estate agents and get that viewing arranged, maybe for Wednesday as cleaner coming then instead of today.

My money is looking fine, although I only have £20 left in current account but pay day Wed. My wages will be less this month as we are paying more into the pension and we don't get the cost of living until Feb but it will be backdated. Also I had my appraisal for this year and boss said I have done well so maybe will get a payrise in April too.

Once I have moved I will pay off all my debt and begin to start again. The housing market looks to be picking up so you never know (as long as both of those houses I have my eye on don't get sold!!!!).

So a good start to this week, feel more positive again...maybe because I have had sleep.

  • Quick update whilst DD is having a sleep.

Cleaned out 3 cupboards this morning, only garage, shed, study, closet and kitchen cupboards left now...woe is me!

Dinner will consist of something out of my jam packed freezer tonight, DD isn't eating an awful lot so think she has spots in her throat. Funny how chocolate goes down well though.

I bought a duck crown before Christmas (in the freezer now) and some tamarind paste, going to try and extract the breasts from it and make duck in tamarind sauce and noodles...need my adventurous head on for that, plus I need an easy recipe as don't want to ruin it.

Tonight I will hopefully be chilling after putting the bags in the garage and emptying the broken freezer into the bin. Good job I am not posting on the food waste board will lose by a mile. I kind of feel better for it though as now I know next time I shop not to go overboard and freeze too much after its cooked as it never gets eaten.

  • Hi SH,
Thank you very much, I am really hoping that the house sells soon and I can move on. The people coming tomorrow night haven't sold their house yet though.

Today I have spent another day and night in with DD, she seems to be picking up although her eye is red so I am bathing it and using an ointment. Nursery said she can go back when the spots have scabbed so I will take tomorrow off with her to make sure she is OK and then back to work Thurs. MIL was meant to be having her but has called off again.

OH can't have DD on his usual days again this weekend as he is going away! Another one to record in my diary. Does it run in their family? If I go away and take DD the days he is meant to be having her all hell will break loose.

Pay day tomorrow YEY. DM is going shopping so putting the ebay money in my account for me to pay for all DD's furniture, looking forward to getting back on track with money.

£2 away from my £2 saving target of £100, then I will start again.

  • Just stopping in to say 'Hiya!'

That's not fair ex going away on the days he's suppose to have your DD. Rotter! On th eplus, you get to spend more time with her :j

Glad she's feeling better, DS1 hasn't had them yet and I'm dreading the day he does, he's a typical male when he's ill!
    I'll get there!
