Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
I've been on line and checked accounts today and paid all my bills, I've also updated my spreadsheet so everything is in order. Not bad seeing as though I am off work until Wed 4th Jan...normally sit at work with calculator and spreadsheet out.
Everything money wise is looking fine, I will update my siggy when I get chance. I got £150 for xmas so am putting that into my clothes account so I can treat myself when I see something nice.
I have hardly spent a penny money wise since I left work but then today I had a splurge. DD has been asking for a new big bed as she is still in her cot bed and her bedroom is still a nursery, so I used the money in her monthly spends account to buy her a new bed, shelf, drawers and books shelf. Only thing is I can't afford to buy her the bedroom accessories now but by the time I have build up her furniture and painted the walls it will be the end of the month so will have been paid again. Plus I will sell all her Mamas and Papas furniture on ebay and see if I can get a good price for it all seeing as though it cost and arm and a leg
I bought a bra and pants in M&S sale yesterday...both for £10! Bargain, only thing is the bra is too small
and they didn't have any other sizes left.
I am off into town some time this week to top up my birthday card collection for the year...at Card Factory (saves me a fortune), plus I need to get a few bits from B&M as the air freshners are cheap in there. Oh and I am going to open up a secret bank account
DD has had a lovely Christmas and she has given up her dummies YEY! We have had a few moments when she has asked me to write to Farmer Christmas to ask for them back but when faced with giving up all her Christmas pressies she changed her mind.
Roll on 2012!!!

Morning Everyone,
I must get back on track with my diary.
Happy New Year to you all!
Im was back to work yesterday and poor DD is so upset to be at nursery, I have had to stay with her a while both mornings.
Money is doing OK, I think I will see this month out with what I have...pay day is 3 weeks away! That is a long time. My fridge is bare but I have been eating whats in the freezer and as I have been cleaning my oven out I have been finding various other methods of cooking it. Last night I heated my beef casserole up in the microwave and the night before last we had lamb and potatoes in the slow cooker. I have £110 food budget left so that should see me through.
I am popping home at lunch time today so I think I might get the chicken defrosted and put it in the slow cooker for when I get home tonight (I have tagine and couscous to eat up) Mmmmm.
Well I have finally decided to call it a day with OH, Christmas was terrible and he was pushing me to move back in so I said right then...lets end it and you never know we might find the friendship we once had whilst sorting things out.
The only thing is he is bullying me into everything, I am being very strong though. He doesn't see why he should get 40% of the house profit as it was 10 years ago I put the £40k deposit down and also he thinks he should have DD to sleep at his house twice a week (I have told him once) to work around his shifts! Erm I don't think so pal!
If he wants either of these two things that badly I told him to go to solicitor. He probably won't as he can't afford it, but even if he does I am entitled to both 60% of the house (well actually more) and being DD's primary carer I can say no to his access....so crack on mate!
Got a valuer coming round today and tomorrow to value the house so we can get it on the market and I am looking into getting the dog rehomed too as OH doesn't want him and I just can't manage him with full time job and 3 year old
(
So there we are, life in a nutshell.
Hope this year is a good one, I need some luck and maybe (just maybe) this is the year for it.

Hi LL - sounds like life is still tough - but you are being very organised and civilised about it all. Stay assertive - you need to get the best deal you can for you and your daughter.... I would think about the access thing tho - as children need their dad's. My DD has her dad wrapped around her little finger.... whereas my OH would say the same about me and DS. Try to think about access from your DD's perspective... if you are honestly sure that once a week is what is right for her fair do's.... if not reconsiderAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Livvy
Sorry that things haven't worked out however you did try so remember that and now hopefully you can move forward as you seem to have see to have been in limbo for so long.
I agree with Savinghomes re contact. I understand how hard it must be to let your baby go but her relationship with her dad is for all her life and you blocking it will create issues in some form. Would reading up help, there are a couple of books here (links below) for you and DD, check out hre reader reviews and see if its something that would help maybe?

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all your kind messages.
Sorry I didn't make clear about DD's access with her Dad, he is picking her up twice a week from nursery and taking her home and bringing her back for bed, then on a weekend he is picking her up at 5 on a Saturday and dropping her off at 5 on a Sunday. He has also told me he doesn't want to live round here and has applied for jobs in Canada, therefore the distress of DD (who has never slept out in her life), will not be worth it for the pain she will go through when he leaves her again.

Hello Livvy,
Ive just caught up with whats been going on over Christmas. Hope Christmas was ok and not too bad with all this.
Were you happy with the house valuation?
I think youre probably doing the right thing with the dog, I dont know how youve gone ont his long anyway! If my DH wasnt here dont think I could manage the dog aswell as I dont have much to do with him anyway!!
The shopping budget is definately doable. Ive got £50 for 3 weeks for the 4 of us!! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hello Livvy,
Have read through your whole diary and have to say that I am glad that you've made the decision that you have, I think it's the best thing for you and your daughter.
You're doing fantastically well and I'm sure you'll feel much better when everything is settled, remember to get your name off that loan asap.0
