  • Right have spent 40 mins getting accounts all in order.

Everything is as it should be, I have £22 left for food until payday, which is next Friday but I won't go shopping until the weekend and that will last. Will got to Ald**. I always put an extra £30 in food just in case so will put that in the car pot.

I have only used one tank of petrol this month so will put the £68 left from that into the car pot too.

A benefit of work is that we get 10% discount at a local tyre place, so I will ring the man and see what deals he can do me on winter tyres.

Next week I can't spend a thing until payday...because I haven't got anything left lol. Once I get food in there shouldn't be anything I will need to buy unless its Xmas pressies and they are all accounted for.

Again, I can't wait until pay day...10 days and counting.

  • Counselling sorted, had a chat with a lovely lady who made me cry! OH got to call the number now to confirm he wants to go too.

Bought DD two more Xmas pressies, she wants a butterfly...!!!!!!??? So I got her a butterfly farm and a fake butterfly in a jar to tide her over until the caterpillars hatch.
Hope she doesn't change her mind.

Bedding washed and DD's clothes out to go away with. Will do all mine in the morning as dog not due in kennels until 10.

I'm really tired tonight, blooming bedding not totally dry yet though.

  • Hi Diary,

Back at work today! DD in nursery again as MIL called me yesterday to say she couldn't have DD until 11-12ish. I know she was angling after me putting some more hours in at work and taking the morning off but I thought this is ridiculous. She is either doing a job or she isn't so I said don't worry I will put DD in nusery for the full day. I know it is extra money but she messes me about that much that I would rather put DD where I know she is safe and we all know where we are splodging. Its only £9 more for the full day as opposed to half a day.

    Right, money!

Spent £27 in Ald*s on Saturday and £5 in Poundstretcher...I bought a cheap pressie for a friend whilst in Ald*s. This pushes me over my grocery budget to £220 for the month instead of £200.
£215 on Holiday, this is under budget by £35

Cooked a chicken dinner yesterday for tea, today I have chicken sarnies for lunch. Not sure what I am going to do with the rest, but I have half a breast left and all the legs\thighs. I am trying to think what chickeny thing I like...will have a look on the OS boards.

I've got £350 left to spend on Christmas, haven't a clue whats happening this year. Don't know whether to buy OH anything, and also he hasn't said anything about buying for his family but I have bought for my family so not sharing the money for his. The only thing is, his family then think I haven't spent anything on them so buy me nothing in return.
Christmas dinner hasn't been discussed either, maybe I should agree to go out with OH and his family and then if all turns sour I will have it at my house with DD and DM.

Thanks Yellow and SH, I think the counselling will do us both good. I am beating myself up about making a decision so will just wait and see. OH is being totally over the top with lovelyness now as he can see I am moving on, but to me this should have happened a year ago.

  • Chicken pasta bake for tea tonight! Think I have a tomato sauce in the cupboard I could use.

Still looking on the internet for something else to do with my chicken, would make soup but don't have celery!

  • I pop left over chicken in a pataks tikka curry and because I add a tin of tomatoes and only mix a spoonful in DD's rice its mild enough for her to eat it too.

    Good luck with the counselling.
  • Afternoon Diary,

Hi Mummy, yes we did go away and it was nice. We got on well so thats good, I'm just not sure what my feelings are for OH anymore. DD had a great time.

First Counselling appointment is Monday! Thank you for wishing me luck KM.

I have spent most of the day sorting my house insurance out! I have a good deal and I get £50 cashback so will sign up with them asap. Going to save £4 a month and thats with a recent claim.

My pasta bake was lovely! I have halved it and put the other half in the freezer. I found a Lloyd Grossman sauce in the cupboard which has been there yonks...spinach and rictotta yummy! I also put brocolli in it, thanks for the recipe idea KM, DD loves curry, I still have lots of chicken left which needs using.

I have checked accounts (my daily routine) and although the main ones only have pennies in they are not OD. I had a NSD yesterday and I shall be having one again today...probs having another 2 aswell to see me through until payday.

I have been given 2 diaries at work today, so I will set them all up for next year. I like to log when Child Benefit is going into the account every month.

I also want to get started booking things for us to do before Xmas, I think its the first year DD really knows about Farmer Christmas and we are reading lots of books with him in showing her kids opening pressies and leaving stockings out etc.

Which reminds me...I need to also think of stocking fillers for DD.

Next year I should be in a position to save up £150 a month to pay off my loan early.
