    Hi LL

Glad you're still on track. I've got DD and DS making tea very amusing listening to them. It's just tacos, mince beef and salad using some fresh and some frozen and some packet ingredients but funny....

  • Morning Diary,
How was your tea SH? Did DD and DS manage to do a good job? I bet it was lovely to be treated.

OK well I was a bit misguided yesterday with my money situation, I forgot about some bits I bought on Friday which weren't bought out of budget pots...must be old age, so now I have £40 left, instead of £60 as thought.

I have paid the Next bill off so thats back to £0, I borrowed £40 out of my holiday savings...will pay it back out of DD's pot (£24) and my clothes pot (£16) next Tuesday.

I am popping to put petrol in today and may buy some milk. I am absolutely not looking at clothes in Mr A's.

Child benefit goes in on the 1st of November YEY! So I am going to put that straight into DD's clothes account, I will get 2 child benefits in Decembers budget as my payday runs from the 25th to the 25th and benefit is 4 weekly.

Must start to think about my Xmas shopping, I have a few bits but need to get it out of the way. I may have to wrap some early too as I get annoyed doing them all at once...it gets boring instead of festive.

Nothing much to report today, feeling a bit grim. I have a cold which is lurking, its not major but every now and again I feel a bit sickly.

Will do some ironing tonight whilst there is only a bit, then it won't be so bad at the weekend.

  • Good Morning,

Feeling a little better today, I had an earlyish night last night (9:45) but didn't get any ironing done as I felt too grim.

Also I was worried about DD as when she was 1 she had an absence seizure and one of the workers at nursery said that she had ignored her a few times yesterday and then laughed at her when she asked all the kids to tidy up. I instantly think the worst that she has had another seizure so spent the night worrying.
However after talking it over with nursery again they seem to think its nothing to worry about as she has seen the seizures before with other kids, she said its probably just DD's way of dealing with not wanting to do something.

I spent £59 on petrol yesterday (I always fill my tank), forgot milk lol. But I do have enough for tonight and maybe tomorrow...depends on how thirsty DD is. She gets through 6 pints in about 5 days normally.

I need to get my winter clothes sorted out. I have had an idea, I need to sort outfits into pots (a bit like money ha). So that each time I have an occassion like shopping, going to play area with DD or to the pub for lunch I have an outfit ready and I don't have to think about it.
I have my eye on a blazer jacket which will go with jeans outside of work and with my skirt which I have for work to make it more formal...that way it is multifunctional. Its £65 so I need to wait until pay day which will give me enough time to think about whether I will get £65 worth of wear out of it.

Going for a NSD today, I won't be having one tomorrow as its a birthday pub trip with work. Prices are quite cheap though so it should leave me with £30 until Tuesday.

I can't wait until pay day so I can top my pots up.

Also I have £13 been confirmed in TopCashBack.

I will do my home insurance after payday as Esure are still offering £45 cashback and they also have emergency cover for free.

You're on fire Livvy - well done you xx

I hope DD is ok and I am sure it will be what you think but i am SO with you on the worrying front.

I am the same as you for CB but mine isn't until March when I get 2 lots in 1 month, needless to say, even though it's 5 months away it's already allocated!

Loving the clothes pots idea! i am terrible for always wearing the same thing and never have enough time, or don't make enough time, to match outfits together and accessorise properly.

  • OK well the ironing is still in a pile and like last night I can't be a*rsed to do it.

Had a busy day at work, I wanted to get away early too but that didn't happen as I had an important phone call and then had to sort my works laptop out in prep for getting a new one.

I had a reply from Next today to say they are really sorry I wasn't happy with having to pay for delivery on faulty goods and please would I accept the gift voucher they are sending me in the post YEY! They went on to say that they have informed the staff at the store and hope that I wasn't too dissatisfied with their customer service...feel bad now as the girl was really nice and it wasn't her fault, it was the process.

Aw thanks Mummy and DF its so frightening. If DD has another one she will have to have tests so I just pray she doesn't. She has had a good day at nursery today...poor baby. I wish I could be with her all day to keep my eye on her, feel like I hardly see her.

Guess what? I have bought some Xmas pressies in the Debenhams blue cross sale WAHOO. I totted up what I had spent on everyone so far against my budget and I have saved £30...very impressed with myself. I have a discount code for free delivery and it has never changed so use it over and over again. Some things I got weren't in the sale but at least they are bought and I didn't over spend.

Out for lunch tomorrow and then meetings all afternoon, this week is flying by.

I had fried rice out of the freezer and prawn crackers for tea...something else I couldn't be a*sed with.

I think clothes pots are the way forward DF, especially when you get invited somewhere at last minute. Its hard to think about outfits when you are a busy working mummy, then when you get out you wish you had put more effort in.

  • Morning,
Am feeling annoyed today, again MIL has called to say that she has a docs appointment in the morning so can I go to work late as my SIL is going in to work (she doesn't normally work Fridays) and so she won't be able to take both kids with her. !!!!!!! Does she think that my job is a joke? Why can't SIL go to work late? MIL only has DD Monday and effing Friday. Roll on January when DD is at nursery full time...I will be able to use all my free hours and holidays on looking after myself and DD.

OH has a cold and so couldn't pick DD up from nursery yesterday, he picks her up from nursery one day a week and every other week he has come up with an excuse why he can't do it...his whole family are the same. Its a good job DD lives with me, can you imagine what it would be like if she didn't have me to do everything and had to rely on his family? I dread to think.

Money isn't looking too bad, but it isn't good either. I am getting through October by the skin of my teeth. Is it pay day yet?

DD's cough came back at 4 this morning, so early night was cancelled out with middle of the night wakings.

I have a new shiney laptop so I have spent the morning re-arranging my desk and having a quick clean, I do collect some rubbish.

Very frustrating about your OH and his family letting you and DD down on childcare. At least you have a plan to resolve it.... I would be annoyed to with the situation but we all just have to get on with these things don't we

  • Hi SH, well it just goes to show where she is better off....I would give anything to be with her all day, thats the only good thing to come out of them letting me down. I get to see her more.

I am gutted....West Life have split up! Woe is me.
