  • I'm meelllllllllllttttiiiiiinnnnnnnnggggggggggg.

So are the splats. One has finally made his way out onto the patio to collapse, one didn't get any further than the doorstep before her legs stopped working and one is strewn across the sofa.

Mind you, after fish and chips, beer and half a tub of ice cream  I don't feel much like moving, either. But then again, I am slowly turning into Jabba the Hutt's sister this week.....

Might force myself to sweep the kitchen floor, have already done the bins but that's about it.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Hospital visit and phonecalls to family done and I finally got to speak to a doctor. There was some bleeding, but without obvious cause, which apparently is a good thing. OH should make a full recovery and there is only a tiny risk of a reoccurence.

I think the next few weeks may well be very long. He's not to strain/stress himself and can't drive. Lots of rest and plenty of water. His conctration span and memory are temporarily affected and I suspect he'll get very irritable, not being able to do stuff he has taken for granted.

I was told that he should be out by the weekend, but I can't see it at the moment. Not while he is still on morphine and codeine injections. He's also not been eating properly since Monday. We may start our holiday a couple of days late. If it was me, I'd tell him to go with the boys and leave me at home. Best way to get some rest.

Tea eaten and I'm going downstairs for a cuppa in a minute. It's rained here and I feel much cooler, but still not very motivated.

MrsC.. that sounds like good news to me :D.. I hope his memory/concentration return quickly.. that must be incredibly frustrating.

We have thunder and lightening and it is STILL suffocating.

I have deflead cats and Jacob.. Tiddles isnt happy about where the beds are so we need to reshuffle those tomorrow.

i can barey walk after sitting on the floor with OH for a coupe of hours yesterday.

AND........ My new windows are being fitted Thursday and Friday next week... so the stupid waste of time-far too late-physio appointment I have waited 23 weeks for.. I cant go to now lol... typical or what? Never mind.. it is only my appointment! need to transfer money from A&L account toTSB account.. best do that now actually..

Does anyone know any good repellants for spiders, i was just hoovering and there was a MASSIVE one in my sitting room, hoovered it up though i did freeze for like 2 mins (half paralysed with fear and half trying to figure out whether it was actually a spider as it was so HUGE SERIOUSLY) i have stuffed a teatowel in the end of my dyson to make sure its not coming back out, am actually shaking....but i really need a repellant quick.....homemade anything anyone can recommend PLEASE. I actually feel physically sick right now and want to throw the whole dyson out the window

Just to let you understand the extent of my phobia, my stepdad locked me in the toilet with one of those flying daddy long leg things switching the light on and off to make it react to the light whilst holding the door handle so i couldnt get out, i was so petrified i smashed my hand straight through the middle of the door and came out screaming and crying, i think i was about 14. Needless to say there wasnt any privacy for anyone in my house for about a week till the door got fixed

oh piggers glad you mentioned that as I need to do some money moving stuff before we go away and now would be a good time to doo it tooo

blimey Missus Aka that's not funny, no suggestions but I think if you've plugged the end of the hoover you'll be okay, :( sending you some hugs (whilst slapping my OH for his very unhelpful comment about how repellent spiders are)
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

Missus Aka - I'm phobic too. I leave the dyson running for a while, but generally even the big ones seem to die. The. I take it outside and abandon it until I'm feeling strong enough to empty it. If the weather is bad I try to just leave the cylinder outside and not the bits that mind getting wet.

You need to keep the house as clutter free as possible to make sure there is nowhere for them to hide. And keep it dry as they like damp. Chestnut wood and conkers are supposed to be repellant, but there were cobwebs in one of my older boxes of conkers... I do use chestnut spray on the window frames sometimes (I also have electromagnetic repellers plugged in to the electrical sockets).

Filling in cracks helps too. As with lack of mess, ho need to deprive them of places to live. Also put strainers in plug holes if you get them in the bath/basin/sink.

    Some zoos run desensitisation courses.

Do you have a link to your list?

here is my very first list but its not anything special just the stuff I needed to do - if you are looking for inspiration there are far better lists on the thread just now.

And my son seems to think its funny and is now scaring me with his spider stickers (he is 3) seriously every time i see one of those stickers my heart stops. Not really any clutter here at all, my mum is a bit of a hoarder and im a bit ocd (think i got it from my dad) everything is pretty minimal here (apart from my wardrobe which the contents of a broken 6 drawer chest have recently been condensed into) but theres no cracks i can see as this is a new build but really its my fault the amount of insulation here means the house is always hot so during the day the big double doors are open and all the windows sometimes at night as well, it just gets soooo hot in here otherwise. If i left my dyson out here the only problem around here is that it would be gone within 60 seconds....people aint so polite around here as to leave others property alone
As for detensitisation i dont think it would work with me, i threw up once when oh found one in the bed when i was sleeping that one was big enough i dont know its just overwhelming for me. Thanks for the hugs and replies.xxxxx
