gilly - my DS didn't have tantrums all the time, but when he blew, he REALLY blew!! I found ignoring him worked. This is really hard, but worth the effort. As Pigpen says, they need to know they are being ignored, IYSWIM. My DS used to stand in front of me screaming and I would stare through him. He hated it!! :p Stay strong!!
Valli - I have this problem with DD2 (although not in the bedroom as far as I can remember). She just puts them face up in the bin  I have tried telling/showing her how to roll them up in the wrapper they come in, but she point blank refuses to talk about anything personal :o (an ongoing problem, and don't get me started on bra shopping!) In my experience, this is NOT the time to start a confrontation :D (but I guess you know that!)

I have done SFA today :o Had a lovely day at BF's. DS had a good swim. DD2 didn't want to - suspect connected with above!! She did lunch aswell :D then took DD2 to orthadontist, and that is about it! I have done a small food shop (loo roll emergency - and ice creams - it is sooo hot!!). Kids took mutley for a walk :T

Ok - need to get going....

    1. Toots'list this is a master list of absolutely everything you want to get done in the house and garden and your life in general - I went through each room and noted everything - this is a long term list - some things could take you up to a year!

Do you have a link to your list?

Can I ask a personal question? How do you dispose of used ST's? DD just puts hers in her bedroom bin and I'm not happy - have asked her to put them in bathroom bin (lidded) and to roll/fold them up - thinking of buying nappy bags for her to wrap them in.

With DD1, I said she needed to use the plastic wrapped around the new one to wrap around the old one and to put it into the kitchen bin, as that was emptied every day.

When the day comes with Minion, I think I shall say the same, as it is far too easy to end up with a bin knocked over and the offending articles scattered across the floor _pale_.

But nappy bags would be fairly good for saving everyone else's eyes from the sight in the bathroom bin.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Gilly you are scaring me! I NEED to remain under the delusion that all children are sweet and innocent and do what they are told first time they are told it at that age :rotfl: yes i know im deluding myself but i would have blown my lid after 10 mins let alone an hour so congrats :)

on the flying front nothing housewise really been done, bit concerned as yesterday even though with hardly any sleep from the night before i didnt need a nana nap, but today needed one, the only difference is today i watched some telly in the living room and when i woke up i felt really icky and groggy, so gas safety inspection being booked asap.

i have turned the safety valve at the meter just in case, and opened doors and windows so theoretically no gas should be getting through now, but just want to be extra safe. there is no smell of gas whatsoever in the room, but im not taking any chances whatsoever with gas/carbon monoxide. we do have a co alarm but its not gone off so im probably panicking over nothing.

I was given a supply of paper bags (free with shopping) and they had to go in the kitchen bin which was emptied daily. Now I have a pedal bin with a liner in the loo. I'd suggest something similar and making it her responsibility to empty it into the kitchen bin (suitably tied up) before you empty the bins each day (or make her responsible for general bin emptying).

Bathroom work is driving me nuts. Feels like it will never be finished.

Back from my parent's. Had a lovely few days with them, my bro and my niece and nephew, but am absolutely exhausted. Got no sleep as was sharing a teeny room with DD and baby DS very hot, late nights and early mornings as it was like daylight and both the kiddiwinks and I need it dark to sleep.

We'd booked tomorrow off work so we could get sorted out and get some sleep, but MIL has let us down with the childcare :(.

Was lovely to come back to a tidyish house, and packing to go took a lot less time as I've been on top of the laundry. Thanks for the lists Pigpen!

Now hall looks like a bombsite so will have to try to get cracking tomorrow.
