I don't know if it was me that was mentioned earlier in the thread for winning 3 TVs, but if it was, they have been spread over 2 years of comping. I also won 3 x Netbooks in one competition that could be entered hourly but didn't get a sniff of an iPhone in another hourly one, in spite of entering looooads of ringpulls. It really is just down to the luck of the draw, I don't think your name has anything to do with it. The only ones that I did wonder about are the Facebook and Twitter comps where member's usernames are 'Jane Smith MSE' or something similar, I would think that the MSE is a bit of a giveaway. Having said that, I have seen them mentioned as winners quite often, so perhaps it really doesn't make any difference.

Yes it was you I meant, I wasn't being funny honest I just wanted to know your secret as I want to win a 42" TV and after 4 years of comping have never had a big win

I agree with OP - Am thinking of changing my name by deed poll - Not winning at all. I know it's just luck. But the Newbies seem to win more. I have advised friends to get on here cos the newbies win everything. Am slowly giving up myself.
EDIT - ALL the Facebook and Twitter comps don't help either - Seems like all the companies are using social networks now instead of a website to fill a form. But I am fed up of reading Ad's on my FB wall. I may be removing all of them very soon.

I started comping 07, got my big ITV win end of 08, 09 was a good year as well, started work end of 09, since then it's gone downhill. I hardly win anything now, all I have had this month is a Nivea lip thingy, seems I only can win when there's a few hundred prizes:o I do wonder why, funny it dries up since I've gone back to work, when I was out of work the wins were a godsend, but also you had other stuff, Quidco was good, Gala bingo was free, won £230 on that in 08, Pigsback etc...... I do think some are luckier than others, yet when ppl at work think I'm lucky lol! I stick at it, part of my daily routine now;)
