    just try to enjoy your 3 days away (concentrate on your son if you don't want to speak to your OH ;)) then next year plan (and finish the plan) 6 months ahead!

    I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!

    Then have a go at him for not speaking to you either (except the "either" part won't come into it), and destroy a relationship over a misunderstanding caused by late planning.

    To be fair, your complete refusal to actually suggest anything after the 3rd day suggests that it's a fairly equal battle of stubbornness.
