Yes I know what you mean and he said the same thing but why come home? To do what? It is supposed to be time away from the house the house work the day to day stuff time for a change for seeing new things talking to other people mingling sharing a memory with our son why come home?
It's more comfortable, cheaper, he's more familiar with his surroundings, there's a big telly, lot's of reasons. And with only 3 days stuff actually planned, not a lot to stay for after.

You need to get back online again and find stuff to actually do after day 3 if you want to convince him to stay on.

why come home? I'll be honest, I'd rather be home in my own bed with my own stuff around me, than in a travelodge for a holiday. I use travelodge for one night at a time usually, for a specific purpose (ie before an early morning flight) but if I didn't have a purpose for being there, you know, something specific to do that I couldn't do from home, I'd rather just come home.

You could all do things from home, days out etc, when you get back?

But if you have to hope and wish that there a something to do in the area, maybe that's why he's not keen to stay on. If there is nothing else to do, would sitting on a campsite watching the clouds actually make you happy?

And it's rather unfair to be angry with him for saying he doesn't wanna go after this spat when you also don't wanna go after ot.

It just seems like you could both be content if you could establish a plan for what to do from day 4 onwards. At the minute there is literally nothing planned and very few blokes would be keen on doing that.
