I'm on holiday all week but I need to really knuckle down to some studying. did very little yesterday....got the books out..and read through how much I had to do....then gave up !!
mr dogrose is off today and can do the odds and ends that need done. so I will keep my head down and get loads done. I hope!
other than that might pop in to town and look around the sales. ms dogrose is much better and is going to her little job today. Hasnt eaten that much yet but she did manage some steak pie last night. her job is just a few hours so she should be fine.
chicken casserole tonight. afraid its a jar of sauce mix. kids love it...must read the label and see whats in it. see if I could do it without the e numbers and the preservativesx x x0 -
morning all:wave:
I'm typing very quietly so I don't wake the kids up. Shhh.:shhh:
DH has gone back to work. So, apart from DS being off school til monday it's back to normal for us.
I don't know if it's just me but holidays always get me stressed. It's as if I'm under pressure to enjoy myself, and to make sure everyone else does to. Slept right through last night and woke up relaxed this morning. I wish I could sort this feeling out - I always get it.
Housework today. Might attack the eu toy mountain.
Don't need to go shopping - yay. Just need milk, but I can get that locally without going near a supermarket.
take care

Morning all
Bit of a shock to the system being up this early but DH has his first day back since the 22nd Dec so thought I ought to show willing and get up with him........well....I mumbled goodbye in the dark as he stumbled out the bedroom door...that counts...surely?:D
Decs came down yesterday - didn't take too long as I was super organisedand got DD's to untangle all the lights.
House is reasonably tidy - just got a huge pile of washing to put away but need to rehang everything in DD's wardrobes first. School bags need sorting and packing, pe bags need refilling and I need to have a serious think about lunch boxes as I'm determined not to shop until Saturday this week.
We're off to Great Ormond Street on Thursday with DD2, hopefully they'll be able to give us the nod for an op she needs this year - they were waiting for her to grow a bit more and she's managed to grow just over half an inch since breaking up from school so I think it will be all systems go.
Got a friend coming for coffee with her DS's today - no doubt they'll help consume the huge choocy mountain we've still got left....I've put the longest date stuff away but still have 2 large tins of sweets open plus assorted tubes and tubs and selection boxes.
Plans for today then..
Dust of the BM for some rolls for lunch boxes.
Hunt out something suitable in the freezer for dinner.
Make some soup for lunch boxes
Baking of some sort - anything that includes chocolate me thinks!
Sorting wardrobes
Sorting school bags
Put washing away.
Ironing will wait until Friday when everyones back at school and the floors will get a good going over then too.

Good Morning everyone:A
School beckons for me today = chance to get straight before the kiddies descend tomorrow:j
Ah well, the holidays always go by too quickly for me! When I finally leave school (retire!) perhaps I'll feel like normal people about them!:D
Anyhow, at least my ironing's done this morning - no more jobs 'til tonight.
Hope you all have a great day.Resolution:

morning everyone
I must be strange but I do like to get back to a normal routine after christmas and even enjoyed getting up early, because I know we`ll soon be waking ourselves at the right time as the body clocks get programmed
No mad exercise resolutions for us either, just carry on with the healthy food, which is also very enjoyable and add a bit more walking every day. Faster walking mind, not strolling
I`ve got quite a few roots left ie parsnips, jerusalem artichokes, swede and so on and some cabbage, celery and tomatoes. I have cancelled my organic box this week as I figure I can make food for a week based around the veg. Today I have a bit of gorgeous lean mutton, barley and veg in a slow cooker, quietly making soup. I made bread yesterday and a sort of tiramisu from left over sponge fingers, coffee and Gary whatsits custard, with the vanilla bits and long life cream. That`ll be the end of the rich bits
I`ve still got odds and sods of choccies but I reckon that one a week through the winter will be a nice treat. I bought less for christmas this year but will buy less again next year
I can almost hear the country go `phew` as we get back to normal0 -

Morning all
B I G cat continued his door-wrecking escapades this morning at 7 a.m. So I staggered out of bed, went downstairs with him, waited while he ate a mountain of food and then let him out . . . . . and then noticed that it was bin day today and so had to put the recycle ( bottles and tins) bin out plus paper sack. And to do that meant dragging the bin through the garage - which meant moving a couple of cars . . . . .
Just managed to get the bin out in time. So, I guess, thanks B I G cat.
Then thought I might as well make some toast and catch up on emails and news.
No idea what's happening today but have to visit recycle centre to drop off some stuff of my sister's.
And need to get some food in I guess.
Now I think maybe back to bed!penninewoman's still there so may be good idea I think.
Have a good day all.Where now?0 -
Morning All
Had intended for the New Year to include the new positive me, but this stomach bug has rather put that on a back burner for now. Was supposed to be back at work this morning but I'm really not in a fit state to be honest. Got to phone them in a minute dont think there going to be impressed. MIL is going to come and take DD off my hands for a couple of hours so I should be able to get some sleep. I've asked MIL to pickup some Buccastem for me on her way here and hopefully that will help.
Hope everyone else has a good daySorting my life out one day at a time0 -
