I'm already signed up for the challenge but can't wait any longer and have made a start, so please can you put my start date as at Jan 1st and I will finish earlier than everyone else?

I sold some bits yesterday and raised £50 woo hoo!

Good luck to everyone in this challenge - off to put something else on ebay!

Hi All....ref getting money for nothing...here's a cracking tip for anyone with a Lloyds bank account!!!

They're pushing some new sweeping spare cash into a savings account thing (called Save the Change) which basically means that if you sign up and agree, they'll round up any debit card transaction to the nearest £ and at the end of each day, sweep the extra into a savings account for you. Nothing dodgy about it - if you spend £1.89, they'll take £2 from your bank account and put the extra into your savings account.

AND....here's the catch to get your attention! In Feb and March only, as a promo, they will MATCH all swept savings amounts up to £50 PER MONTH so there's a max of £100 of free money to be had in Feb and March.

Check out their website for details.

So that'll be me irritating all and sundry by paying for EVERYTHING with my Lloyds debit card!!!

    :D

Sounds good but I don't have a Lloyds account damn!!!

Well.....if your credit score can stand it, why not check out greasypalm, quidco etc and see what money can be had for opening an account - I got £30 from GP last year. You don't have to move over all your current banking - I didn't - and you could use the account to keep all your challenge money in as well.

Oh and I'm off the mark too - am having a clear-out and found 90 pence in an old jewellery box - lord knows what it was doing there and how long it's been there, but Daisy has been fed!

The savings have to go in to a LloydsTSB savings account. I only have a current account with Lloyds not a saving account and the only 2 saving accounts they offered me when I rang about this earlier were one needing £250 to open and another needing £500 to open :-(

I'm going for Bronze please, £1007 is about my limit at the moment.Going to investigate the Lloyds thing, eBay, and put some stuff up on Amazon.....etc. Does anyone know if I can get anything for my OH?
