  • I would like to join in, I am going for Bronze, that seems tough enough, I have an added incentive as we have just booked a holiday and this money will pay for it.

I have joined pigsback and I had already sorted some things out for ebay, some of them are free items, so I can use that for my total.

I would like to try matched betting, but I have read the hints and tips a few times, over the last couple of months and I still don't get it :rotfl: so as I can't afford to lose any money, I will have to be more creative :D

  • Hi all,
Well since finding this site I have realised there are ways of making money that i never even thought about before and did quite well last year, ie, Ebay, Quidco, Claiming Bank Charges, etc. However, I am ready for a New Year challenge. I would like to sign up for Bronze if that's OK. Good luck everyone.

Count me in - going for Bronze (although are we allowed to "upgrade" later if we're doing well?). In preperation I have sold an old mobile to CEX for £10. I won't recieve the cheque til the challange has started, so I think I can count that. However I have to pay postage, so I need to deduct that from what I claim as profit, right?

Good Luck everyone, can't wait to get started - my first 3 steps will be as follows :

    1) Photo a load of stuff on the w/e to ebay.
    2) Go read the pigsback thread.

Annie - you could add claiming back any tax that's owed through this thread to the tips http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=36092

  • Rock & roll, count me in!

Small person is due on Feb 28th, so may find myself sleeping / feeding / wiping instead of making money but I'll have a crack at the Bronze medal and be dead happy if I make it!

Good luck to all taking part, see you all on eBay by the sound of it.....;)

Hi All....ref getting money for nothing...here's a cracking tip for anyone with a Lloyds bank account!!!

They're pushing some new sweeping spare cash into a savings account thing (called Save the Change) which basically means that if you sign up and agree, they'll round up any debit card transaction to the nearest £ and at the end of each day, sweep the extra into a savings account for you. Nothing dodgy about it - if you spend £1.89, they'll take £2 from your bank account and put the extra into your savings account.

AND....here's the catch to get your attention! In Feb and March only, as a promo, they will MATCH all swept savings amounts up to £50 PER MONTH so there's a max of £100 of free money to be had in Feb and March.

Check out their website for details.

So that'll be me irritating all and sundry by paying for EVERYTHING with my Lloyds debit card!!!

    :D
