  • I did have a spreadsheet with everything challenge related so I knew exactly where all my money came from, but unfortunately lost it all when my computer crashed :( think most of it came from amazon and quidco also consumer pulse has been a good one for me

that reminds me, I must turn off my holiday settings on amazon
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!

    Hi Jet, Wilf and Karma,
this isn't money I was expecting and all of my Olympic challenge money is going towards my debt (a lot more than 3K). So even if I was allowed to add my windfall I'd still continue as this thread has spurred me on. Let me know what you think about me adding my windfall when its through in a few weeks. In the meantime I have 18.26 to add from extra work.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

    Hi Unix
What Wilf said! And Jet, come to that! And something I said ages ago, the competition element of this is only against ourselves, *between* us is a huge sense of support. Put it in there, and carry on, maybe. How much are you in debt by? Do you want a little splurge, like southernscouser and his fishing gear?

Just to show how individual all this is, I'll type in what I was going to type anyway, in this post.... I went into town to hand in my remortgage application, no problem, then I took a bill back to Sainsbury - they charged me twice for something about two weeks ago, just an accidental double click on the till, so I was refunded £1.94, and I'd never have bothered before this. Then, I *did* buy a 2nd hand DVD, but it was only £2, and I didn't buy another one for £3 - I actually put it back on the shelf. And I picked up 50p that was on the floor. And when I went to the supermarket, and picked up some quorn, I actually went back to the shelf and put it back, remembering that I have some red lentils at home. £1.94 + £3 + 50p £1.79 = such little decisions and activities, and I saved myself a total of £7.23. I'm really startled to add it up myself. So, £7.23, or £2232?:rotfl: .... I had to go advanced to get the emoticon!

way to go karma i agree the motivation from doing the challenge not to just spend spend spend and to consider what will save money and how to make that bit extra and all the other things we are doing do certainly add up

as it shows with the challenge money showing in all our signatures

unix id add it if thats what you want no one will mind cos as its been said before its really a personal thing or perhaps add a percentage and give yourself a small treat

    well done anyway
