KKO Mobile charges ???

I too just discoved that I've been billed for 4 weeks of KKO Mobile charges so far. Ringing 3 got some action in that they refunded 50% of charges immediately however they said this is the maximum they can refund as good will. Complaints to KKO Mobile for proof of agreeing and using this service have been met with very poor service from KKO Mobile and refusal to refund charges made. Does anyone have a UK trading address for this company (KKO Mobile) so I can contact their local trading standards?
I asked 3 for proof that I purchased this service and they said they dont have any. Apart from the charge coming from payforit (which they help setup). KKO Mobile have also been unable to provide any proof apart from saying they have a date and time in their database that subscription was started. They were unable to say which smart phone app and banner advert started the whole sorry affair.
So far I've started a complaint to Ofcom (complaining about phonepayplus which they setup to regulate this type of service charging), Phonepayplus supposedly the governing body (to complain about payforit and KKO Mobile) and 3 Mobile (to complain about payforit and KKO Mobile) about the immoral way this company (KKO Mobile) operates.
Another email address to add to the complaints would be:
regulatory@three.co.uk
I've asked for where in my terms and conditions I accepted payforit charges to be made directly to my phone bill when I took out my contract with them.
Thanks

My niece mistakenly signed me up for this and I received a text -
FreeMsg: Thank you for subscribing to KKO Mobile for £4.50 per week from MyDoo until you text STOP to 64546. HELP? 08458341119
I texted STOP immediately so fingers crossed I will not get charged -
FreeMsg: Your subscription to KKO Mobile from MyDoo has been terminated. HELP? 084583411190 -
Just to say this forum is really helpful. I have had exactly the same run around by 3 mobile over the past two months... so far over 100 pounds in unauthorised charges and counting and they still haven't stopped. When will 3 learn that this will cost them business. It is simply not good enough for them to wash their hands and say 'its a third party' company so its down to you to STOP it using 61973 ... rubbish... my contract is with 3 Mobile and I intend to take this all the way. This is certainly unfair contract terms and I am equally certain that there are Direct debit protections in place. Unless 3 can provide details on any contract I have with KKO mobile they have no right to charge me.... period. I have decided to go after 3 mobile rather than the KKO lot as it is them that are charging me... what they allow other companies to do through their billing system is their look out. Either way its going to be stopped and publiscised. I am also going to my MP's local 'surgery' to get this kind of improper practice regulated out of existence .... I am also considering taking 3 to the small claims court in order to get publicity for the issue... I personally detest such consumer 'mugging' and simply won't stand by and see it happen time and time again. If anyone wants to get involved with me we could perhaps make it a 'class' action and get them all a bit nervous. I feel certain that this kind of thing is the next PPI scandal in the making....0

I've Had The Same Problem, On Checking My Bank Statement Yesterday I Realised My Bill From Three Was £55 Instead Of My Normal £35-£37, I Immediately Logged Into My Three Account To See That I Had Been Charged 4x From A Company Called KKO Mobile, I Phoned Up Three, The Lady I Explained My Situation To Told Me That I Had Made A Subscription With Them And Was Being Billed Weekly For There Services, I Assured Her That I Have Joined No Such Subscription, She Then Went On To Tell Me That I Had As They Have Set Up A Charge For A Weekly Amount Of £4.50 Which I Then Told Her I Am Fully Aware Of What Is Happening and I Can Assure You I Have Not Signed Up To Any Subscription, Nor Have I Received Anything In Writing To Say About The Subscription And Charges, I Had No Idea What KKO Mobile Was Until Googling It, Thank God For Google Eh! I Think That This Scam Is Ridiculous And I Think Its Disgusting That Its So Easy For Them To Get There Paws On Your Money With Help From Your Network Provider. When Contacting Three For A Second Time The Man I Spoke To This Time Told Me That I Was Not Eligible For Any Type Of Refund To Which I Told Him I Wanted To Cancel My Contract With Them As On Joining Up I Didn't Agree To Be Scammed By Participating Third Parties And For Three To Support Them, To Which He Hung Up...
So I Have Now Made A Complaint Through Email To Three For Them To Contact Me Stating That What They Are Allowing Is Illegal And That They Should Take Responsibility Of This 100% As they Have Had 1000's Of Complaints All Having The Same Problem, They Should Block This User From Being Able To Set Up Any More Subscriptions In Fact I Don't Think This Pay4It Scheme Should Even Stand, If You Want To Purchase Anything Through Subscription It Should All Be Through A Credit/Debit Card As Its Not As Easy To Just Take Someone's Cash Without Full Consent! This Whole Scheme Is Nonsense!!!

Now as you can see this is a big big scam , over 10,000 complaints, There is only one way of stopping this as all normal methods WILL NOT WORK. Everybody report to BBC Watchdog and once they receive enough complaints they will asses its validity( this wont be hard as its a scam) and then it will get aired on TV with details of reclaiming money with legal backing. LOG YOUR COMPLAINT ON WATCHDOG0

An interesting fact to come out of this scam is that nearly every complaint is on the Three Network I notice.
Which backs up the figures about Three being the most complained about network.
Theres a lesson thereIt's not just about the money0 -
I have had exactly the same problem as that reported by many people here. Indeed it was Vodafone that alerted me to weekly charges on one of my phone numbers. They identified the charges as coming from KKO Mobile - as indicated by several people posting here.
I KNOW that phone has not received ANY texts from KKO Mobile in respect of the charges they allege are in response to a valid subscription. In my mind, this can only be a fraudulent operation, which does indeed raise the question of whether or not there is some very systematic criminal organization lying behind it.
KKO mobile have sent images of the screens that they allege could result in a subscription being set up - none is recognized. They claim to have sent out a text on subscription initiation, followed by monthly reminders. No such texts have been received. In my opinion, they obviously have a very clever scam running as they sent what they claim is a database record of the initial subscription, payments charged, and texts sent. Fascinating that they sent that supposed record after they said they had cancelled the subscription - but nothing about the cancellation appeared on that supposed record.
After discussing this with Vodafone, part of the problem is that the charges are made via premium text services. As I never use either premium phone calls or texts, it was easy to have a bar set on the account being used for premium services. Vodafone also changed the phone number to prevent any further charges.
I am very disappointed that Vodafone did not refund the charges they had clearly authorized indirectly. There are other regulatory things that need to be done. There needs to be some transparent and clear way to opt in; what these people I now think of as thieves are doing is relying on what is effectively only an opt-out system. This system of charging is even worse that recurring charges on credit cards, which can also be very difficult to stop. I am utterly astonished at the loopholes in the regulatory system that make it extremely difficult to stop these kinds of recurring charges.
I have asked KKO Mobile for a list of all downloads they claim following the setting up of the supposed subscription - so far, nothing yet. What is a real pity about this, is that the only people who are likely to be able to know the truth about whether or not the alleged texts have been sent and received are the phone operators themselves. As KKO Mobile operate out of France, there are great difficulties in using the Data Protection Act subject access rights to extract proper information from them. However, a Data Protection Act data subject access request against a phone company that has let charges through its system will be accessible, and I may well try that. The phone companies have the data to know whether any criminal offences have been committed or not, and whether or not those phantom charges are nothing but stealing.0 -
I do not want these scammers to waste any more of my time so forgive me for being brief.
I managed to 'catch this on' after 2 months = £36.
KKO replied promptly but with insufficient detail to proove their case. They say it is my responsibility and that they will not reply again - I said "thanks for making my complaint to phonepayplus easier".
Answers to my FOI request to phonepayplus
How many complaints have you had about KKO Mobile / MyDoo International (61973)?
We have received 136 complaints with regard to this service.
When did you receive your first complaint?
The first complaint was received in June 2011.
Phonepayplus are now actively investigating KKO and have asked me to copy all correspondence as evidence. Everyone else reading this should make an official complaint.
I agree with other poster. Three staff agree that they have thousands of complaints about KKO. It is their responsibility. I would be happy to take Three to court as it is they who are passing my mobile number to KKO when I allegedly click some link three times on some imaginary web page.
I do not need to take Three to court. They gave me a refund after they got fed up with my multiple calls. However I had to pay line rental for an extra 6 weeks before I could leave Three, to ensure I got the refund and give the 30 days notice - so still have a claim against KKO.
I have ported my number away from Three.
Best wishes to others
