I take it I'd be better hanging on a while for the promo codes to come out for Oct/Nov
The best prices I've managed to get so far are
£398 for a week at IP
£531 .........@ Tropicana
£511........@Hooters
£537........@Harrahs
£662.........@Hilton
£672.........@Luxor
£715..........@Flamingo
Are these good prices???
Better off waiting ???
Those all seem high to me...though thinking about it, how many will be in the room? I'm used to prices for double occupancy and if more than 2 in the room that may explain some of it.
But they still seem quite high...probably better to wait for a few months.
And please cross Hooters off your list.Unless it's really cheap, I cannot see any reason to choose it.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Very few of the current promo codes run through to Oct/Nov but assuming two in a room I'd expect to pay those numbers but in dollars rather than pounds. A few minutes later.. none of the hotels I'd recommend have got anything on offer past the end of september at the moment.0 -
We are going to vegas for christmas and have already booked 4 days in the Bellagio direct on their webiste, with the idea of cancelling if/when we get a better deal. However, we really want to spend our last 3 nights in the Venetian, when will their prices come down for December? We are in Bellagio 23rd Dec - 27th, and want Venetian from 27th-30th. Are we best waiting till September/October, like my brother suggested??Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

That's the run up to New Year's Eve and while Christmas is a slow time in Vegas and rooms are cheap, they start to ramp up quite a bit after...I would keep an eye on rates and if you find a rate you're happy with, would do the same as you have done for Bellagio and book with the intention to cancel if the rates come down.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Just keep looking. I haven't seen any/many good deals on the Venetian for a few months now. Usually they have a spate of try the suite lifestyle for $129-$149 promos, last one was a month or two ago, next one is usually tail end of August/start September.
Just think Panda, this time next year you will be 14 miles from an airport with bi-weekly direct flights to Vegas!0 -
I think that all of us here love helping people with trips to Vegas...so any questions at all, ask away...it keeps us off the streets.
Ferf, thanks for all that information, I have a lot of reading to do! The wedding ring trick is a good idea although I dont think I need to go to those lengths!
I have got hold of a couple of books on Las Vegas so I will do a lot more research and come back with all those questions I will have.
As for what I am looking for, to be honest I dont know (doesnt help much does it!?). I am not a sitting by the pool person, although the odd dip is nice! I am on a budget but it depends how much I earn on Ebay between now and then! so I am aiming for one of the nicer hotels and being able to have a good view from the room would be the ideal.
I will post again when I have more of the facts.0 -

WOW I dont think I really comprehend the scale involved in Las Vegas or Grand Canyon....I have a feeling I am going to walk round in a daze saying "wow" over and over again!
I havent had a chance to look into the above links but thats on my list.
Just wondering what it is that makes people want to go back to Las Vegas time and again.....is it just for those interested in the Casinos or are there other reasons to pull you back?0
