From the Las Vegas Convention Calendar for your period:

INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF SHOPPING CENTERS LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER 05/21/2007 05/23/2007 45,000 attendees

INTEROP LAS VEGAS 2007 MANDALAY BAY CONVENTION CENTER 05/20/2007 05/25/2007 20,000 attendees

XANGO, LLC VENETIAN, THE 05/25/2007 05/26/2007 4,000 attendees

AMERICAN PAYROLL ASSOCIATION PARIS LAS VEGAS 05/22/2007 05/26/2007 3,900 attendees

ISA INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CONFERENCE AND TRADE FAIR MANDALAY BAY CONVENTION CENTER 05/20/2007 05/23/2007 2,000 attendees

HAY HOUSE I CAN DO IT! CONFERENCE SANDS EXPO CENTER 05/17/2007 05/20/2007 1,500 attendees

So that's 75,000+ conventioneers in town to start - plus lots of smaller conferences of a few hundred each...also, that Monday (28th May) is a bank holiday in the US (Memorial Day) so lots of people will have 3-day weekends.

You can always try to check in early- you may get lucky....it can't hurt, anyway...you can leave your bags with the bell desk if the room isn't ready.

sounds like it is going to be a busy week/weekend. Will try checking in early as you say it cant hurt, thanks.

    Things to do list?

Well , firstly being a bit of a poker fan I have to do a few tourneys!!
The new casino poker rooms in the Planet Hollywood/Aladdin are looking nice so will start there.

My Girlfriend wants to go the Grand Canyon so will do that as a priority,
but generally no plans except to do what we fancy when we are there.
I know my girlfriend does`nt read this so feel safe to say that I am considering proposing whilst there. Suppose if the moment and the scenery is just right then may go for it. But no it wont be a Vegas wedding (unless we get very drunk hee hee)
My full plan of the sixteen days~
    6 nights in Planet Hollywood/Aladdin
On the friday morning pick car up and drive 5hrs to San Diego.
6 Nights in San Diego then another 5hr drive back
    to Vegas.
3 night stay at the Strat (phoned direct and got a good rate-told them i was a player club member and they droppped the internet rate lower!!)
For the last night I have a Venezia Bella Suite (got a free upgrade -paid $179) at the Venetian then back home.

Those who are not going for a while....
All I can say is that looking forward to the holiday is part of the magic I think.
Been planning this since before Xmas and I`m so glad I found this string.Again thanks to Trets.
    Cheers All

ps when i get back i will, if needed ,update with how i got on booking in to Aladdin/PH on the deal without being a member. you know what i mean trets.
