I was merely expressing an opinion that I find crocs really ugly footwear but,of course, everyone is entitled to their own fashion statement.

By the way - when you bought them did you say to the assistant " Bring me a pair of crocs and make it snappy. "

If you are flying from the UK into the US you must clear Immigration & Customs at your first point of entry. For you this will be Chicago. Make sure you have filled all the forms out on the plane, with NO mistakes (they will send you to the back of the queue with a new form). You do have to collect your bags. This usually only involves dropping them off again in a 'roped off' area according to your destination & air carrier. They have plenty of staff telling you what to do. I do think 1 hr 40 is pushing it (but I don't want to worry you!) but doable. I recently flew to Orlando via Newark & clearing I&C took exactly 1 hour. That was without flight delays. Then you have to find your new gate. Also bear in mind some airlines 'close the gate' around 20 mins before the plane is due to take-off. They will not allow you to board after the gate is closed. It would pay to plan ahead your route I think.
I have been to Chicago O'Hare & I thought it was one of the best airports for service. It was very busy though. The connecting trains were frequent & fast. Just make sure you know which way you're going.
Who have you booked your travel with? If you contact them they may be able to place you on a later connection. I have done this before with little hassle & it was free too! For me it was peace of mind on an 8 hour flight over rushing around at the other end!
    Hope that helps a bit & I haven't scared you... :D

Thanks for this, it really helps :)
We're flying with BMI so I might try ringing them to see if they can book us on a later connection - I know what you mean about having to run about after a really long flight!

Just came back from Vegas yesterday and had an amazing time and would defo go back again but I would stay in a hotel on the strip this time, Ended up purchasing our show tickets from Tix 4 tonight at the fashion mall as they worked out just under half price compared to the box office price.

I managed to bring a few things back as the prices were very good

    DKNY Watch - £58
Oakley Juliet sunglasses - £160 (around £250 in UK)
    Calvin Klein Suit - £115
    Abercrombie & Fitch T-shirts - £12.50 each

We flew direct to Vegas with My travel as i heard my travel also done stops at glasgow but we never and it took 11 hours 40 on the way their and 9 hours coming back which flew over

Glad you had a great time.

Tournament of kings $30 incuded meal
Gordie Brown $40 - was not overly impressed with this comedian but some parts were funny

I would well reccomend a strip hotel as we stayed in the terribles which was a cheap hotel and was clean, it is ideal for people who want to be away from the strip but it cost us around $10 dollars in a taxi to the strip which is not expensive but it could have been saved for other stuff and it would have been ideal to stay on the strip as you are in the action so to speak

I often go to terribles for breakfast as there are loads of 2 for 1 buffet vouchers about for it, but I always have a car.

You werent far from Ellis Island there, did you go for the steak special at $4.95 altho it may have gone up to $6.95 but still worth it for a great piece of steak, and drinks are only $1 to go with it.
