Off to Vegas in the morning and noticed that the MTV 2007 movie awards will be in a Vegas hotel on 9/9/07 while we are still out their.

A longshot i know being so close to the event but anyone know where i could get a ticket from (if their are any left) as checked the MTV site and does not mention anything about tickets

Suppose if we don't get tickets we could just hang around in whatever hotel it is and see if we can see anythin?

Pretty sure it's in the Palms. Try the box office there or Ticketmasters. We managed to get Snow Patrol tickets 2 days before the show when we were there in July, not as big a draw probably though.

All set for Vegas now. is it worth buying a little tourist book? if so are there any recommendations?
Show wise I'm going to be watching Ka and possibly O. Any other recommendations on shows and attractions? i don't think my GF is too keen on the top-less revue's :D I've read mixed reviews on the Blue man group. is this recommended?

Also i want discount vouchers/coupons :P Any good links?

i was dubious about Blue Man Group too , but we saw them in Toronto and it was a fantastic show. i highly recommend it. ;)

best "take with you book" i have found is this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Unofficial-Guide-Las-Vegas-Guides/dp/0471790338

    My Travel

    flying tomorrow = £208

    this sunday (1/9) = £208

September prices are very varied with between £300 and £400 ( with the odd sub £300 fare) with longer stays seeming to shake out cheaper.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

    Yes, it's at the Palms.

We'll be in Vegas at this time too, and we looked into getting tix when the VMAs were announced.

2 months ago, they were going for $3000 - $4000 each.

So we thought we'd give it a miss ;)

here's another good one for shows - has a few more categories than LVAs...I check headliners religiously about once a week in the months leading up to our trip just in case a band or a one-off comedy act I really like pops up!

    http://www.vegas.com/shows/

Edited to add - like anything, I would book direct with the venue and not through vegas.com generally - but it's a good resource to see what is out there.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thanks for that, i,m a bit the other way to ferf i, just see whats available half price when i get there ect.

definatly want to try and see Phantom of the opera ,and Popovich Comedy Animal theatre in December . other than that we are pretty flexiable as to what to see ( although the sexy shows don,t really do it for us :rotfl: )

Oh, we do that too for the permanent shows...but for the one-off concerts, etc if it's a band I really want to see we will book in advance. :)

    Hi folks,

Just looking to pick your brains again.

Have booked 5 nights 24-29th Sept at the Signature MGM as part of our honeymoon then we head to the Grand Canyon for a night. We then come back to Vegas on the 30th for our last night before heading home

I was looking to spend a little more and end our honeymoon in style (without going too daft :D ). Have been looking at the Venetian deals and stuck between

    1) Venezia Concierge Medici Suite for $299

    or

    2) Venetian Rialto View for $309

The Rialto is much bigger suite but doesn't list the same extras that the Medici Suite has (access to private pools etc)

Has anyone stayed in either of these & able to recommend one over the other?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards,

    Craig.

Sorry ... just bumping this up to see if anyone can help :D
