We like the pop-out map of Vegas - we always carry it with us.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Las-Vegas-Popout-Map/dp/1845875141
I also liked A Brit's Guide to Las Vegas as it seemed to have a lot of little interesting and helpful tidbits that the others don't.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brits-Guide-Las-Vegas/dp/0572031351
We also always have the latest Time Out guide (friend who works there) which is pretty good.
as for vouchers - do a google search for 'vegas coupons' and you will find tons and tons and tons.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Blue Man group is brilliant IMO , although saw it in London a couple of months ago and it wasn't as good as the Vegas show.
My OH and I like the DK Eyewitness GuidesSame old same old since 20080 -
we are spliting the trip already our first 4 nights (Thu, Fri, Sat Sun) are booked with the Mirage offer posted months ago. getting $75, $113, $113 and $75 for the four nights. i doubt very much any offer is going come along to make me cancel this.
our last 3 nights ( Mon, Tues , Wed) is where the choice lies. Paris booking is $89 p/n .
we want the location and fun of Paris ( the rooms are supposed to be pretty nice as well) , but we really like Mandalay bay and a nice room is important to us. we might not get chance to Sample "The Hotel " at such a price again. Paris regualrly hovers around the $100 mark (espically on future proposed dates) so it could be done on any future trips. .
It's a real coin flip at the moment....:undecided :undecided . at least we have a few months to make our minds up.

Hi Trets,
If I were you then I would jump at the chance of staying at "The Hotel" at that price - as you say - the Paris can be done on any future trip whereas you may not be so lucky again with the hotel. It would DEFINATELY get my first choice!!!
I havent stayed at the Paris (Wynn & Rio only) but I have visited the hotel/casino/Poker room etc at the Paris and, whilst nice, I think you may be disappointed if you give up the chance of sampling "the hotel"!
Let us know what you decide - Im sure you will :rotfl::hello:My name is Steff and I am a Vegas Addict :j0 -
Off to Vegas in the morning and noticed that the MTV 2007 movie awards will be in a Vegas hotel on 9/9/07 while we are still out their.
A longshot i know being so close to the event but anyone know where i could get a ticket from (if their are any left) as checked the MTV site and does not mention anything about tickets
Suppose if we don't get tickets we could just hang around in whatever hotel it is and see if we can see anythin?0 -

www.americancasionguide.com the link gives you a full list of coupons that are in the book, which can be obtained from any palace casino gift shop for about $16, I always buy one when I go and never pay full price for any buffets in the 2 weeks that I go, but i do usually use it in conjunction with the Pocket book of values available when you take an online subscription out on www.lasvegasadvisor.com but it is more expensive (about $37) and you have to pick the book up from their office (a couple of blocks off the strip), but you can get the ACG there as well.
With both books there are more than enough 2 for 1 buffet coupons to keep anyone going for a couple of weeks and a few free hot dog vouchers in there as well.
I dont know if Bills casino are still doing it (formerly Barbary coast) but when signing for a players club card they were giving out a book of vouchers which included $10 off paris buffet amongst others.0 -
