Tried to book a really great deal with Southwest airlines for the first 4 nights of our stay
http://southwest.com/hotfares/hotfares_hotels.html
They wont let me book it unless I have a credit card registered to a US address
How pants is that???
Bum it's back to the drawing board now and it was such a good price to
Gold coast 4 days for only $290 or Orleans for $340
Anyone know where I can get a good deal on the Orleans
Orleans has a best rate guarantee...so if you book on Orleans website directly...and within 24 hours find a better rate you can call and they will match it.
Check here for full details and read the terms and conditions (and don't tell them you couldn't book with Southwest.)
http://www.orleanscasino.com/hotel/best-rate.html
Gold Coast has the same thing.
If you go to their site...click on hotel...and you can find the best rate guarantee link there.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I have now booked Orleans direct I'll leave it until tomorrow and ring them back....see if I can swing the cheaper rate:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0

Was going to post the same as ferf but also to add i did exactly that earlier this year.
I booked direct with orleans and then rang them (at 1p a minute) to say i could get it cheaper with southwest...they did ask me for a link to swest offer which i supplied and hey presto reduced rates.0 -

keep in mind that the Southwest deal has limited availability - would call ASAP to ensure that the rates don't change because it's the rates that the rep on the Orleans phone can get that they will match...as they may change, I would call as soon as you can just to be sure you get the deal you want.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
apoligies for starting a new message for this but the orginial is all the way up there lol :rotfl:
My travel prices
August 15th -22nd is where the join seems to be August 15th - is still £450 for all available length of stays
however August 19th +22nd are £450 for 7 nights but £342 for 14 nights
the price difference is more on August 26th . £450 for 7 nights but a very nice looking £289 for 14 nights !!!
on August 29th for 7 nights is £500 , but same £342 for 14. the same pattern appears to continue through out Sept.
however :eek::eek::eek: Sept 9th appears to have sold out since i checked this morning on my travel yet still shows available on Airtours.
fair to say a £300 - £350 fare is reasonable for Sept with them i think.
here are few EXACALIBUR offers from as low as $46.
from las vegas message boards . stays upto March 2008.

Bally's is coming in at $979 for a standard room (may not be refurbished but you may get lucky at check-in).
https://www.harrahs.com/AvailabilityCalendar.do?propCode=BLV&showHotDeal=Y
Excalibur at $850 (edited to add it includes a $15 buffet credit - not the best buffet in Vegas, but breakfast is OK)

Excalibur with Taxes is coming out at $931.50
I may go for that one as it's quite a bit less than Luxor.
Anyone know if the pool area refurbishment at Excalibur is finished yet:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
Someone suggested ringing the hotel reservations dept to try and get a better rate, i tried this with the Venetian but they wouldnt budge. The rates were the same as the wewbsite!Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!
