I am new to Broadband and fancy Virgin net to start. Can anyone give me some advice on where to buy filters/modems if I were to use Virgin net? Or is the kit they supply for £19.99 adequate?0

have a look at www.qtds.com (in North West London)0 -
Check this out, click here ...looks cheap to me.
this has been mentioned before. it is a good price but has the problem of paying it all up front and then being commited to a years contract.
i would avoid any such product as you dont know whats going happen in a year.0 -
I've been with e7even for 5 months and it has been great. I paid on credit card - so I believe there is a fair amount of protection there anyway.

Hi Mike, I have been trying for 2 days to get to the e7even site but can't. Do you know if there is a problem?

Dear Fellow-Moneysavers,
I need some moneysaving advice on broadband/TV/telephone.
Thanks to Martin and his excellent website I now rent a BT line, use Tele2 as CPS, dial 18866 on top of that and have watched my telephone bills plummet before my greedy eyes.
I am now wondering about setting up a broadband connection, possibly in combination with cable or satellite TV. Unfortunately, because of where we live, Freeview is not an option. I am not keen on having a satellite dish stuck onto the front of my house and although cable is an option, I don't like the idea of somebody digging up the new drive.
Homechoice seems the most elegant solution but their coverage doesn't include us. Naturally, I don't want to give up my low telephone bills either.
Is there hope for me or should I have a chip implanted in my brain as my exasperated partner suggests?0 -
Gatita, it seems OK to me. I generally check it daily to update my referrers board with any special offers.
Perhaps you could try to hit the browser refresh button ?
https://www.e7even.com should work !
Let me know please!
Thanks

Kawi, now that you have a BT line, it makes sense for you to use one of the many many isps available to you (many more than there are via the cable route). I'd just opt for Sky (special setup deals at the moment) and somebody like e7even for broadband.
What cable companies operate in your area ?

I would like to change from a dial up connection to Broadband and feel overwhelmed by the choice. What can you suggest? Metronet or e7even? What do I need to do? DO I need a new modem? Please help? I need to get speedy .
I don't play games online or download games, films or music-yet!
What I do need is a faster connection so that things like photos on pages download quicker.
Hope someone can help me get inot the 21st century.0 -
Hi Lellobelle
I know EXACTLY how you feel as i am in the same position ??? I am wavering between Virgin (for their no contract and free copnnection) e7even and Eclipse.
Its mind boggling isn't itha ha and on top of that finding a router the correct one! again its so confusing :-/) at a cheap price. Do let us know what one you go for as I will.
Thank you Mike, your link works, but the one from the ASDL forum doesn't. Another question, does e7even give you an email address? or is that the one you have to pay extra for or go to gmail? When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0
