can any tell me if I buy any wireless modem router will it work with wanadoo?
Yes - as long as it contains an ADSL modem - it will work with any ADSL ISP.
Wanadoo's own wireless modem router (the livebox?) only works with Wanadoo though

The Phones4u offer of broadband and home phone calls for £24.99 per month looks too good to be true. Anyone have any experience of this offer, or ideas of what to look for in it?0
-
Im changing my phone from Ntl to Bt (as long as they can do it without charging me £75!). I am looking into which broadband provider to go with but, even though I like the Metronet deal, you have to supply your own modem. Ive no idea which to get and if I would need any other special cables or anything. Im thinking perhaps it would be better to have Bt Broadband or another company that supplies you with a modem. Or is it quite easy buying a modem and sorting it out yourself?0

Hey,
Dont worry its dead easy to sort out yourself, basically you just plug the stuff in. Have a look at e7even.com their running a great special offer, currently the best going. Myself and gf have just signed up. u get 3 months service free and a free £75 modem, for unlimited access. If you wanna be clever about it t you could just sign up for 3 months (thus stay for 6), then migrate to another provider i.e. v21.co.uk for £10 and choose a low monthly rental (9.99 for 2 mnths then 16.99) without having to pay £70 connection or a modem. If you do the maths this deal wins by a country mile. Its also unmetred meaning you wont get cut off (like wanadoo) and charged if you need more bandwidth (like metronet) May wanna be quick though the offer is for a few days only and ends today (18th oct).
hope this helps

Have been with these guys for a couple of weeks now and can certainly recommend them! I am on the 1mb package, paying just under 20 quid a mth and get speeds of around 950/60 kb.
Since using their service, I've only had a few minutes of downtime, so, so far so good!0 -
good news,
e7even have extended their great offer until the 24th!

The last deals good but this ones still a lot better.
For those of you who are confused heres a typical example in lamens terms, compared to say the latest popular virgin broadband deal:
1. Virgin Deal (3GB Limit) = £17.99 x 12 = £215.88 for 12 months
2. E7even deal (Unlimited) = £118 (for 6 months) + £10 (v21.co.uk transfer charge @ months 6) + £19.98 (introductory offer for two months) then say 16.99 x 4 (for remaining 4 months to a full year) = £215.94 for 12 months
So if you do it like this example (it could be cheaper depending on offers out over the next year) it works out just 6p more for the year but you get a free decent £75 modem and unlimited bandwidth! It’s easy when you know how.
and my offer still stands, those who use my referal code (708315) when signing up will have £10 sent back to them!
again read my thread given earlier for a bit more info. They call me Mr Pig!0 -
