August's Active Actually for the 7lb Club

Morning peeps. I hope you've all had a good week.
My first weigh-in of August has been an odd one. I have managed a small gain, up to 175lb now, but a very dramatic % fat loss. It's gone right down to 39%. I don't understand how that can have happened in a week, so I shall write this one off as an anomaly and see where I end up at the end of the month.
It's been a bad week for letting other people decide what we're eating, thereby ending up with something fat laden for dinner most days. I need to get back into organising meals next week so I can stay on track.
Have a good weekend all xx

angela110660~ that is a huge loss for one month, please make sure you take care and do things sensibly, are you under medical supervison for such a big loss in one month?
Thank you for your concern however, it was my first month of losing and I have 5 stone to lose so my first week was mega - as they usually are and then the rest was over the rest of the month. Average now is 1-2 lbs per week. I am going to the gym as well as eating off smaller plates and following a plan.0 -

I have 3 bottles of wather in the fridge that I MUST drink in one day

Please can someone advise about whether or not it is good to keep water in fridge or to drink at room temp? Have heard that when it is really cold it does not rehydrate you as well as it could do for some reason.0 -
Right, well I weighed in yesterday and I've stayed the same this week! Oh well, at least I haven't put any on! Done a 20 min Zumba routine on the Wii and will do Day 1 of the 30 Day Shred later. Had scrambled egg on toast this morning with some berries, about to make some lunch and will have a home made vegetable lasagne tonight! Then it's off to work where I will definitely be burning off some calories! I had not heard of this chilled vs non chilled water debate.... however The past week Ive had very hot baking weather or very muggy weather, and so being able to take out a nice cooler bottle (recycled obv) from the frige and slurp on it as i do my chores was nice.
but i will look into this.......

Just popping in to say that I appear to have lost 2lbs this week! Weighed myself on the work scales (which I trust more than my rubbish ones) and I'm 2lbs down! Only 5lbs to go and the month is still young!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Back on track....2.5lbs lost this week
I've been very good during the week, totally came off the wagon big time yesterday but have managed to get through OK! Keeping the food diary really helps and I've also started blogging which focusses me even more...its a public blog anyway but I put the blog link on my FB so I know I get people tracking me and ready to tell me off if things get bad!

Yes I heard it is much better to drink water at room temp, something to do with it being absorbed better and cold water kinda shocking your insides and going straight though you......can't remember where I heard this so could all be nonsense! Actually and gonna go have a quick look online now.....
Ok, this is the first thing I found -
Is room temperature drinking water better than cold drinking water?
Well it depends.
If water is cold it needs to be raised to body temperature before it is used. This can burn more calories while your body heats up. But if it is hot outside and you are outdoors then you do not want your body to jump in to heat up mode.
Water that is closer to body temperature can be used by your body much quicker. This is vital if you have been exerting yourself and need hydrated or it if is hot out and you need to replace liquids for that reason too.

I was interested in seeing what the general consensus was on the warm v cold water thing as I've also heard you shouldn't drink it cold. Thing is, I just can't drink water when it's all warm - if I have nice cold water I will drink a reasonable amount, if not then I don't drink much at all...so I figure cold is better than none0
