  • Happy New Year _party_

Haven't posted for a while, but have been dipping in and out reading the thread.

DH and I had a quiet one last night, watching the telly (surely there could have been something good on last night - I mean not everyone goes out  ).

We bought a huge piece of beef a couple of weeks ago, and what we didn't use I sliced and put in the freezer, it's currently in the slow cooker with gravy getting nice and ready for our lunch, beef, roast potatoes, yorkies, mashed swede and carrots, cauliflower cheese, peas, gravy and horseradish sauce

Need to crack on with some washing and ironing today as well, no rest for the wicked.

(((((hugs))))) to everyone on here who keeps me sane - have a wonderful 2007 :D
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Happy New Year everyone. We're just up, the bottle of wine last night seemed to work like a sleeping tablet lol!!!!

Anyway off to take down all decs and make a roast beef dinner.

    Take care..

    Morning All (just)

Stayed in last night but surprised myself by staying up till 12. As a result had a lie in this morning and a very leisurely bath. Had emptied DW and ate breakfast but thats about it.

Need to get ready to go round in laws, not my favourite place but never mind. Last day of eating everything in sight, diet starts tomorrow.

Hope you have a great day whatever you are doing.

Morning everybody :hello: (I mean... this time it's PROPERLY the morning! :D) And HAPPY NEW YEAR to all who weren't up into the small hours last night.

There's absolutely no way I can remember who's said what on the thread so far, but big hugs to gingin :grouphug:and as for you anniebooklover, with any luck that slowcooker will save you more than you spent on it in no time...

Currently watching the New Year Concert from Vienna on BBC2 but need to get on with stuff. Have to do laundry as all my jeans are in the wash. Also want to unpack a few more moving-boxes and build my remaining bookcase and shelving unit, which will leave me with just a couple of CD towers and a very heavy wardrobe to put together :T Will text big hefty male friend who lives 2 minutes away, perhaps he can help with the wardrobe.

Also it's an absolutely glorious day out there, it's almost as if the weather yesterday was just trying to get rid of stuff from the old year :) So I think a brisk walk in the park is in order. It should do me some good what with this throat bug I've still got.

    Wishing you all the best...

    Rzl xx

Hi again, hope everyone is improving. I now have a sore head BUT...NOT due to the obvious-step forward Fergal(one of my darling(!) cats) Had just come out of bathroom, Fergal having a freak out me trying to avoid standing on him(and not to go head first down the stairs)ended up headbutting the bathroom door jam OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And not a drop of alcohol involved. Cats don't you just love em eh? Have a good day everyone.Anniebooklover get well soon. Hugs to all today.

Happy New Year one and all.

Had a quiet night in - well until DS appeared at 11pm absolutely wasted. He's usually pretty sensible but apparently it was down to girl trouble!! He's just appeared looking like death and turned even whiter when he saw my plate of bacon and eggs. Needless to say he's disappeared again.

  • happy new year to everyone!

We had a lovely night with a few friends over for food followed by trivial pursuit. A glass of fizzy stuff at midnight and bed at a disgraceful 2.30. I'm glad lots of people had lovely evenings too and I hope those that are a bit under the weather feel better before too long.

I'm going to do a bit of gardening today. Broad beans apparently grow through the winter and I'm going to put everything else inside just to see what seeds will grow if I start some early. We might take the dogs out later as the weather is so beautiful.

Thanks DLB for great party last night, wish I had the strength & energy to stay longer, but my head was killing. It hurt to put it on my pillow.

OH in the kitchen now prepping veg for our turkey dinner.

Got so much to do today, I dont know where to start, plenty of washing to keep me occupied again, aswell as ironing uniforms for work tomorrow.
Clean washing to put away. Bathroom to clean, downstairs to sweep n mop. Think that should be it for now.

HAVE A FAB 2007 AND LETS CONTINUE WITH THE LOVE & SUPPORT FOR THE O/STYLERS ASWELL AS NEWBIES. AND THANKYOU ALL FOR THE MOTIVATION AND INSPIRATION YOU'VE PASSED ON.
