Well, I never did get around to going for a walk in the park, and now it's dark and raining :o  but I got lots done around the flat :T

Built another bookcase - not as successfully as the one it matches, unfortunately, as a couple of the screws didn't go in properly and my leccy screwdriver wore away the crosses so I can't get them in any further! So one screw is still sticking out about a quarter of an inch, and two others are OK but not great.

Unpacked the whole of my immense collection of theatre/concert/opera programmes  and sorted them by year - I'm aiming to organise them in full chronological order, as I used to several years ago, but that will take some time!

Unpacked and put away all my musical scores and sheet-music.

Responded to a Wanted ad on Freecycle. Somebody was after boxes for moving house, but they've since got back to me and said I'm too far away for them to collect my boxes. Oh well, I'll offer them myself in a few days when I've got most things sorted out.

Responded to two Offered ads on Freecycle. One person offering a shoe rack, another offering a Russell Hobbs juicer. Haven't heard back from either yet.

Anyway I really need to get back to sorting out boxes. I really can't clean the place properly while things are strewn everywhere...

Congrats dlb on giving up the cancer sticks :T

Welcome natzini and any other newbies I have missed :hello:

PP - I hope you enjoyed watching Clash of the Titans :D I haven't seen it for years! All I really remember is that creepy mechanical owl! :rotfl:

Now, I wonder what the weather will be doing in the morning. I would like to start my NYR of going to work on foot, but if it's chucking it down and blowing a gale, s0d it, I'll catch the bus!

catowen, I'll second what gingin said. You always come across as a great mum :) and if you get sick of friends and relations parading their wealth, you know you can always come on here and speak to folksyou've got something in common with!

gingin, I hope you're now feeling happier than you were this morning.

    Right, back to unpacking stuff...

    Rzl xx

EDIT: Hiya Johanne! Was wondering where you'd gone. Hope things are now going a lot better for you re: housing, work, health and money. Happy 2007!

  • DLB bath together - save water and have fun!!!! - Well done on the quitting. Let us know every day how you are getting on, we can help, even if you slip - keep on quitting - my hubby is a quit smoking counsellor so I can always get you some hints and tips if you like. The biggest one he told me is that you are 3 times more likely to succeed if you get help of some sort either from your quit smoking clinic or a support group. Good on you for an excellant start.

Thanks elona for the SW tips - Veg soup in the SC sounds like the best idea I have ever heard - loads of veggies, pulses and some stock. Free all day every day. Will also try the lasagne but what do you do about the white sauce?

    Good evening, MSErs.

    Happy New Year, everyone

A late posting from me today as I have been busy all day and I am only getting online now. Among other things I have been tidying away a lot of clutter. Sounds easy, but in my house with my low stamina levels it aint;)

Anyway, enough about me - I wish everyone well in 2007

  • evening all. last night had a romantic night in with OH followed by 3 hours of CSI, then watched the great british quiz on E4 in bed. kept the curtains open so could watch fireworks. however, managed to get first cold last night leaving me all hot and aching - so lay in this morning. went to mum's for tea though - plus made bread dough and biscuits so feel like i've accomplished stuff!
