I make a veg soup in the slow cooker and a lasagne with quorn mince that fit in with Slimming World.

Had a quiet day and have just made a huge lasagne which we all enjoyed.

Need to iron a few bits and pieces tonight and will just try not to stress.

Need to put dishwasher on soon.

    happy New Year.

Happy New Year to all OSers and thanks for all the inspiration in 2006:beer:

Quiet day here - although the monthly shop from Tesco arrives tomorrow. I did this last month and it was so much better than seeming to shop every day. Veggies and eggs are delivered by box scheme weekly so all I need is milk and fruit weekly. Although I'm ashamed to admit how much I threw out in simplifying the larder ready for large quantities to arrive - not of staples but of strange ends of packets etc

Have done two loads of washing and made a pasta bake for tea - luckily the fence held up in all the gales last night after dh did some reinforcement work..

See you all tomorrow - have a good day

    Welcome to old style.

Please don't worry that anyone will tell you off for anything. Especially for being ill.

I am a complete slob at times and find it dificult to get myself moving and achieve stuff. I find that old style - like using a slow cooker and bread maker help me get more done and save time, effort and stress.

I did a lot of online shopping for Christmas this year which saved me a lot of money and stress - even got free postage.

Elona, thanks for the lovely welcome!

I have dusted off my slow cooker (my younger sis got me one last year for Christmas, the fab Argos 3.5l) and am waiting for a bread maker to pop up on Freecycle (or a super cheap and fab one to be in the shops) so I can make lots of bread and cakes!

I will also be looking at doing the grocery shop online... sometimes I pop into Asda on a Monday evening before Guides and pick up some meat bargains (we have a good fridge freezer in our halls kitchen), but would like to start using our local butcher and getting a fortnightly veggie box again, once I'm all sorted!

This week will be getting a lot of the old stuff out of the freezer, to clear some space for the bulk meals I'll be cooking up and freezing... am trying to be optimistic and making OS work for me!

    Evening everyone.

Well its now 4 hours since my last fag, and im feeling really good, not even wanted one.It will be in the morning that im going to find it hard.

Just in the process of bathing the tribe, we have no shower (at the minute) so it is a complete nightmare when all 6 of us need a bath, one out one in, quick water change, in out, lol But as soon as we are all bathed and pj on we are going to watch a film then have a early night.
Kids back at school on thursday so want to get them back into bedtime routine, they have had so many late night over xmas.

    Have a good evening everyone

Happy New Year to one and all! So sad we got cancelled up here in Edinburgh last night! Weather was awful though and we need to think safety!

Haven't read the posts yet. A very quiet night last night and a day at the Zoo with SIL, DD, DGSs today. Cold. wet at times but wonderful. The highlight of the trip when DGS1 saw huntiong dogs ripping apart a goat! Enough to turn us veggie! However, stew out of freezer for SC tomorrow!

Hope to catch up with you all later.

Hugs and kisses to those who need it.

    Happy New Year everyone!

Thank you all for all the ideas, help and support that I get from you all, even though I usually just read and don't often post!

Last year was the year that all sorts of unexpected things happened, most importantly, my elder son was very seriously ill, and I spent a month with him in a Bangkok hospital. Happily, he is well on the way to a full recovery, and we made new friends, and I decided to do a refresher course and return to full time work.

For 2007, I wish everyone a tranquil, peaceful year, and very good health!

Good Evening All - Hope we are well

Welcome natzini, why dont you put a post on freecycle ref breadmaker, rather than waiting! I did today and luckily had a response. Hope to collect it tomorrow. That was my 2nd attempt of posting, but the lady offering it to me, had a new one for Christmas. Think it could be right time to post. I borrowed a BM from my cousin, but Ive mis-placed the instructions. oops. I dont want to spend any money buying one, incase I cant get on with it, so I would rather try first than buy.

Keep up the good work DLB, dont give in.

Ive been in my pyjama's all day, but managed to get some work done. Then we all sat and played BUZZ on the PS2, kids incl. That passed 3hrs away.
Just had a bath and put fresh jama's on

OH prepped & cooked dinner today, now he's doing mine & his pack up's for work tomorrow.

I managed to get half way through sorting out my craft cupboard/drawers, things I've not used or no intensions of using, will go on ebay shortly.
Will replace them with new stock. As now my mum has announced she is getting married (again) soon, no doubt she will ask me to do her invitations.

Right off to finish me cuppa, and dose up on pain killers again
    Have a good evening all
Take care & love as usual xxx
