Good afternoon everyone,
((HUGS)) gingin xx
Well feeling very full after our lovely roast duck dinner - kitchen clean and DW on, so here to do my clicks and have a little browse.
Spoke to my best friend earlier, and ended up feeling quite tearful. She was going on about all the trips her children were going on, and all the different places she was going, and i just felt a bit down as we dont have the money to do any of the things she does, or the support she gets from her family. The trouble is, i dont like to say anything to her about it, as it would just make everything really awkward. Never mind, its a new year and we have a lot more going for us than money!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely afternoon,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
((((((((((((((Cat)))))))))))))))
I felt like this last year when everyone in the playground was bragging about their hols but with grit and determination I organised a summer of fun for my two using Tesco vouchers and half price train tickets etc. The holiday flew by and DS said how much more fun he'd had than just having a week away somewhere. Perhaps you could do this for your family?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

[QUOTEbtw if anyone is a big fan like me Come Dine With Me starts a new series at 4.45 today:j][/quote]
Oh, love this, will make sure i catch it later!!!! (just before deal or no deal, another fav in our house!!!)
Thanks moggins, am saving my Tesco vouchers at the mo so i can change them into Virgin holiday deals, but might use some of them for something in the holidays!!!! Mind you, thats another reason ive loved being a member of this site, so many good ideas for cheap/free things to do. Im very lucky with my 2, they know we dont have much money, so are quite happy playing in the garden or out on their bikes. We are very lucky to live near Dartmoor, so quite often take their bikes and a picnic out there for a day, its lovely!!!!!0 -
Aww gingin, hope it all works out for you!

How is everyone?
I am on high dose of seroxat but am still up & down like a yo-yo. GP didn't even let me get as far as I think I'm bipolar out of my mouth before she dismissed it totally. So she just doubled my seroxat again & sent me on my way....This year I really will somehow try to sort my mental health. Its like banging my head against a brick wall.
I refuse to write a list of the rest of my tasks to do today. I will scare myself!
Right off to finsih the living room. Took the trees down as the kitten had 'played' with them!

Hi
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Hope everyone is recovering from their festivities. It was a very quiet one here as OH was working till 9pm last night & was back on again at 7am this morning. We were woken up by the fireworks (or rather I was & then woke OH coz I didn't know what was going on, he explained it was New Year- fortunately he is fairly easy going  )
I wanted to say thanks to veryone on this site for all the info & help I have received in the last year. It has to be the best site around!!!
Have made a :coffee: awhile ago but I can't remember where I have left it, so I will have to make another as it will probably be cold by now. Could also do with some painkillers too.
So far we haven't spent anything since our last shop prior to Xmas & am hoping that we can manage for at least another week. Haven't even been to any sales, so no temptation.
Oh well best go & find my :coffee:Love to save & love a bargain0 -
Afternoon all!!
Well the clear up is now complete, the house looks normal again!!
And i have been a none smoker for 48 mins!!!!!!LOL
Hope you are all ok, i feel a lot better than i did this morning, but that may be due to the amount of coffee iv had!
Turkey which we were ment to have today wasnt fully defrosted, so we are now having pork steaks and will have turkey tommorow when dh gets back from his first day back at work.
All is quite here, dh and boys watching footy, dd asleep on sofa and im happly playing on here.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy new year before I go off to tackle Moggins Flylady challenge.
Have finished off course assignment number 2 (only another 2 to go, groan) I wonder why I committed to this as well as full time work, I must be mad.
Quiet NY just had a couple of friends in. DD rang from Prague (where they were ripped off by a restaurant on the drinks) and ds went to friends so all very civilised.
Looking forward to 2007 very much, I feel as if my life and home heve been transformed since I joined about 9 months ago and looking forward to it getting better and better.

Happy to new year to all you oser's.
Not been on the boards for a while have been very down and just not able to communicate with someone standing next to me let alone actually get any words down on screen.
DD3 is still away with her Dad in Qatar. We collect her from Heathrow on Thursday. We have heard from her most days and she seems to be having a good time. I don't know if that makes me happy but it makes her happy which is the important thing!
DH and I were supposed to be away for New year but we couldn't afford it in the end, and DD1 had a car crash at 60mph on 27th. She was a passenger and they both (her and the driver) are ok. She even went back in a car yesterday for the first time!!! But she is tearful and a bit depressed I think. She is off for the rest of the week recuperating so we will get to spend a bit of time together which will be nice with out the little one around.
Christmas Day came and went, DD2 18th birthday came and went, dreaded visit to DSD came and went and I have survived.
Now on Thursday evening I am going back to Slimming World. I am going to try and lose about 3 stone of the 7-8 that I need to lose. Last year I lost 2 stone and I think I have put about 1 and a bit back on, Thursday will tell how much.
Does anyone have any tips on OS and Slimming World? I would be greatful because one of the reasons I ended up stopping last time was that the SC and BM could not easily be incorporated into the Green Days that I do.
Hugs to all.
