Oh, love this, will make sure i catch it later!!!! (just before deal or no deal, another fav in our house!!!)

Thanks moggins, am saving my Tesco vouchers at the mo so i can change them into Virgin holiday deals, but might use some of them for something in the holidays!!!! Mind you, thats another reason ive loved being a member of this site, so many good ideas for cheap/free things to do. Im very lucky with my 2, they know we dont have much money, so are quite happy playing in the garden or out on their bikes. We are very lucky to live near Dartmoor, so quite often take their bikes and a picnic out there for a day, its lovely!!!!!

Catowen, I always read your posts and think your children are so lucky. It always sounds like you do lovely things with them (whether they cost money or not) plus it's obvious they receive heaps of love from you.

I feel like an evil witch now :( I have just shouted at DD for spilling orange juice on my newly cleaned coffee table then read that so sad thread on DFW. I've been sat here in tears for the last 10 minutes counting my blessings and snuck into the bedroom to watch DH sleeping, thanking my lucky stars that he is here with me, regardless of anything else.

Gonna go and apologise to DD for shouting at her and see if she would like to help Mummy with the hoovering. It may take twice as long but things are well in perspective now in the moggins household and she loves shoving the hoover around.

Count your blessings everyone, sometimes things disappear before we appreciate them.

It's titled Christmas isn't great for everyone, I'm not going to link to it as that feels very wrong somehow.

  • Afternoon Guys!

Well, I have been very ruthless today:D I have actually binned alot of out of date sauce mixes, herbs, powders, medicines, dried fruit, flour, rice etc that I didnt realise I had. Some were dated 2004:o ....I am glad though, as I can now see whats in the cupboards;) I have organised my medicine cupboard which is in the lounge-it makes it easier to locate and now looks all neat-cant believe how many meds I take:eek:   Also have washed the shower curtains with the white wash I did and also a dark load-both of which dried on the line.

OH & DD have gone to Asda to see if there are any bargains:rolleyes: OH has tidied up the back garden. DD has done her room again and uloaded the DW.

Other than that....nothing! I think I have done a little too much, but do feel better for it. I even sat outside while OH did garden-we had a cuppa out there with me in my PJ;s and jumper!

Our main goal for 2007 is to become more organised. DD & OH are quite messy, whilst Im quite neat but instead of throwing things into the drawers and having to tidy them every other week, I would like to sort things properly, thus hopefully saving time:confused: I seem to always have lists but want to be more orderly IYKWIM:cool: Do it right the first time then it wont need doing again. I have devised a schedule of jobs that need keeping on top of. They should only take a few mins a day:D I need my life more simple when it comes to cleaning and organising.

We are doing a bootsale in a few weeks and have quite alot of stuff to sell. I am thinking of going through the cupboards and selling what we havent used in ages. I have a BN Rice Cooker-I have only used once and the rice was horrible-any ideas:confused: ...if not..I will flog! Also have some trays/dishes/cups etc that we dont use and even if we get a little for them-it all goes in the pot!

Just watching Clash Of The Titans...so better go.

Hugs to all-especially Jellycat-chin up girl!

    Afternoon everyone!!

I'm still in my pjs (tsk, tsk) and am so jealous of everyone getting so much done... most peoples 'to do' lists read like mine for the week! Like the Flyladies say it's all 'babysteps'... or for someone like me with FMS and ME, it's more like ant steps!!

Over the next week I want to start getting us all organised and hope to start the Flylady challenge on Wednesday. I also want to go to Emmaus and see if they have any dishwashers going for cheap, as all the OT will give me if a seat for washing up... that is not going to help!! Arghhh.

I think this is the first time I've posted on this chat thread and hope to make it a regular occurrance as you all seem so nice!! I just worry I'll be told that I don't do enough because of my illnesses :(
