Happy New year to all. Cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday so no cleaning today. Fireworks around our house were great - watched them from front room window. Roast is on for lunch with chicken soup and made a cheesecake last night with some homegrown strawberries from the freezer. Hope you all give yourselves a great day for the start of 2007 . :beer:0

Good morning everyone,
Hope everyone had a lovely evening last night, whatever they were doing!!!!
We had a very quiet one, just DS, DD and myself, but it was lovely. Had lots of nibbly foor and i managed to drink a bottle of Cava on my own!!!!!! Mind you, the diet starts tomorrow, but the drinking is stopping today, i dont normally drink much, but this xmas i seem to have made up for it big time!!!! Prob the main reason ive managed to put half a stone in in 2 weeks!!!!!
So, today, ive had my last lie-in, as im back at work tomorrow, and we are having roast duck with all the trimmings for lunch. Duck is my favourite, so really looking forward to it, hense the diet starting tomorrow!!!!
Also want to do some cleaning upstairs, as when im working, i cant really get up there to do anything. luckily, i now have the downstairs loo, so it will be good to let get the little ones using it.
Right, off for a browse.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful 2007, full of love and laughter and good health. Like some of the others on here, i want to thank everyone from the OS board, who have been a tower of strength and support to me this past year. So many on here will prob never know the help they have been and i thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Hope everyone has a lovely day today,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
dogrose wrote:hypno I have been considering ebay too. let us know how you get on.
Will do - it is something that I have been meaning to do throughout 2006 but never got round to it!
I have SOOOO much that can go on there so I hope it is successful!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I have just got on the scales for the first (and dreaded) weigh in of 2007. I lost 2 stone last year and had expected to put on 6-7 lbs through December as have been out, away on holiday and obviously Christmas food etc, so imagine my surprise when I got on the scales and have only put on 3lbs!!
So, hopefully not too difficult to lose and get back to where I want to be! Yay, another positive thing for today!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Bagsie no returns:hello: Gooooooood Morning fellow OS'ers both new and old:hello:
Didn't go out celebrating, but watched the TV .... the fireworks this year over the London Eye were absolutely FUNtastic!!! :TD12yo crept down bang on midnight to toast in the New Year, d11yo was far more sensible and had a much needed sleepNo "OS'ing" going on today, it's a day of restMind you, it's also a good day to think about all the practical things which need to be achieved during 2007. Those niggly little bitsa jobs that you know need doing when you see them but forget about as soon as you move to the next room
That was my plan when moggins began her Flylady Challenge but seeing as I became dispirited the first day with that rusty radiator .... well, least said soonest mended
:rotfl:
Food wise will be a grazing day from anything found lurking in the fridge ... although I have a craving for Carrot and Almond soup  yep, I might stretch to making a batch of that today
Weather is looking brighter today so I might even push myself to go for a brisk walk with the lads so we can all burn off some energy and let the wind blow out some cobwebs from the past couple of weeks of being busy!
Have a great New Year's Day and wishing you all that you wish for yourselves in 2007:wave:

:T :T :T Yay!!! That's great hypno! Good luck with shifting those 3
((get well soon)) for kyle x
((Tuttifruitty Theresa)) the first year is always the hardest of all; it never gets "better" but, it does get a little easier. Get well soon too.
Shez - the bluetooth is a "dongle" (luv that word!! LOL ) and it's supposed to mean I can take the music from the PC that we put on there for the MP3 players and transfer it to the boys mobile phone ... but I still haven't worked out the blessed thing  One of my resolutions is to know my limits and not bush beyond them on unnecessary things ... the bluetooth is nice, but it isn't a priority in my life so I'm not stressing over it. On the other hand, you would think that the world will end if it isn't sorted by Wednesday when the lads return to school and it's causing *them* stress that I'm not stressing over it :rotfl: I'm compensating them by letting them play on Sims2 Pets (which was *my* Christmas gift, not theirs!!) and I'll try again between them going back to school and me taking up my other commitments.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Happy New Year!
Christmas and New Year all in a day was a bit much and I took youngest dd to bed with me at five past midnight. eldest dds had set themselves a challenge to watch all the episodes of my new Green Wing dvd in one go. Judging by the mess this morning they gave it a fair go although if they'd succeeded it would still be on nowThey are sleeping on the sofas while youngest dd and dgs climb all over them. It is absolute carnage here - they told me to leave the washing up but no one's done it so its worse than it would have been last night
exdh has just left and dgs and his mum will go later when she surfaces so I can reclaim the house - just going to have a quick read of flylady thread for inspiration and then stop hiding in front of this computer and deal with it
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
