Someone's Going To Get Stung

Yeah bet it would be so easy to police the odd million or so listings, get real, cant read & validate every single listing.
Banning IP's will never happen, a lot of providers use dynamic ip's, only way to ban them would be to ban a range of ips, which would mean hundreds or thousands od people being banned.
Ok i have used an analogy myself, but this is getting daft. Everyone agrees what these people are doing is wrong and is being reported and the listings removed.
What these people prey on is the persons gullibility and eagerness to grab a bargain. Most people join these sites without reading the T&C or the warnings about such scams. In fact about 40% of people who buy only read the title and the price, they cant be bothered to read the description.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
I don't see the problem?

He has clearly stated what is for sale, and hasn't tried to hide the fact (as some scammers) do.
It's about time people who use Ebay started to accept blame for their own actions. It's not the sellers fault if people do not read properly is it.

Then they deserve to get scammed.

He listed a picture in the Consoles & Systems section, which is against Ebay rules. Clearly some people do not read the listing properly, but that doesnt excuse being deliberately misleading."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0 -
No, but it being listed in the wrong section doesn't stop them from reading what is there, as that is what the seller is actually selling before they bid on it - which is just what we have all done, so it can't be that hard.
I've seen plenty of posts on here with people coming back at a poster and saying 'you should have read everything before bidding' when there's a problem, it still counts here - if the person complains, the sellers main thing will be 'yes, but I DID say there was an image, I didn't mislead anyone on purpose' and it's impossible to point out that the person *meant* to post it into the consoles section [obviously they did, but actually for the seller to come out and say it...? not gonna happen]0 -

I've think we've come full circle chaps and chapesses. How about we just agree to disagree on this one?

Just read all this with interest, no one has mentioned that the winning bidder has left positive feedback for the buyer. I guess the buyer has paid out all this money for a picture but seems satisfied with the fact, otherwise he would have left neg feedback to warn other buyers that this is a misleading item (well not misleading but you know what i mean)
so at the end of the day the buyer is happy with his picture of a Nin Wii, or is the buyer the seller too??All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

the seller of the item in the original OP has not yet received any feedback...where did you see it0 -

Well, the auction ended over the weekend, and January 1st is a non postal day, and the earliest someone can get to either the post office, or other parcel carrier for next day delivery would be today, to ensure delivery tomorrow.
Does seem very strange that over the bank holiday period, they have arranged delivery. The only other explaination is that the seller and buyer live close, and the seller bought it round earlier, and the buyer was happy with their photograph.0 -
the winning bidders have NOT yet left any feedback...
1st one ended on 29 Dec
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190066910991
and 2nd one on 31st Dec
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NINTENDO-Wii_W0QQitemZ190066906340QQihZ009QQcategoryZ62054QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
and the seller has since had 2 new listings removed...0
