well i've not posted here for ages. have now finished work and only have 6 weeks till baby is due!
saw the MW on fri and all is well and i am on track for a home birth. heart beat strong, i'm still fainting but it's been put down to low BP, it was 90/60 on friday and should be around 120/80, but i've always had low BP (well since i went on the pill and had it taken regularly at 18)
kennedy has changed so much, she is going though a not eating stage atm and it's driving me mad, she'll eat something one day and then refuse it the next, i've started giving her multi vits to make up for the lack of food.
she's also starting to potty train, she's 22 months next week and maybe a bit young but everytime she has a wee she goes -ohh- wee wees! and sits on the floor and then wipes her nappy with a baby wipe. so we bought her some pants and will start on tuesday when OH is at work and it's just the 2 of us. god help the carpet!!0 -
Awwww he's lovely nadnad
Hope all goes well heather. I would have loved a home birth with Charlotte but it wasn't to be due to lots of complications, and she was a month premature. Let us know how it goes, as I'd be interested to hear what it's like. Here I go again on my own....0 -
i wanted a HB 1st time but MW said that i would be better in hospital as i didn't know how i'd react to the pain, i managed on entonox and a tens machine which i can have at home as well so it seems a good idea to stay home, and relax with my own things around me0

nadnad - he is lovely.
Heather - best of luck for the homebirth. Best thing I did and I would do it all again in a heartbeat ...

thanks i got one today in mothercare hopefully this will save my back! we'll see how it goes tonight. Am I the only one who baths their baby every night? none of my friends do, and we didnt at the start, but its part of his routine before bed now and i think it tires him out a wee bit and helps him sleep.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Hi everyone
I don't think i have posted here for a while as we have been away, and then i was trying to catch up on all the washing and stuff with not so nice weather, but i am getting there now.
Sam is 16 weeks tomorrow, and was 16Ib2oz last week. He is chuckling and trying to play with toys by mouthing them - actually everything goes in his mouth now. I am just changing from BF to bottle, as he is getting more and more hungry as the days go on. I did try him on a bit of baby rice but the HV told me off a bit as he is really too young. I can't cope with getting up 3x a night though, and as he doesn't sleep till 8-9pm, and then DS1 is awake by 7am every day, i am pretty much shattered all the time and need to do something to make my life a bit easier and feel like me again. I can feel myself getting down again, and i don't want to go there.
I used to bath DS1 every night to get him into a routine, but that dropped off a bit towards the end of my pregnancy, and it has been hard since having DS2. It's easier now they can both share the big bath, and i'd say they have one every 2-3 days now. I try to make sure if DS1 has been out in the garden playing or has been to nursery, he has a bath on those days.
heather i finished work at that stage, and it was great, i was ready for it. good luck for the home birth. I don't know if i would be brave enough as i needed ventouse to start both deliveries off, but as DS2 arrived within 3 hours, i also didn't have drugs. I'm sure you will have a brill experience.0 -
Hi
Couldnt find any discussions on this so thought i would ask.
At what age did you put your babies into their own rooms? Natasha has just gone 7 months so i realise i should be thinking about it but to be honest im really quite reluctant to do it as i will miss her so much (i really could cry just thinking about it). She is no bother at all and has slept through every night since 8 weeks.
I love having her sleep next to me in her cot and cant imagine putting her down the landing all by herself, what do you think? - what did you do? I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
I know you spend time here, so, Hi Choc & Tom :heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0
