Jack loves his baths and Molly is starting to show awareness of fun in the tub now, but I can only bath her 1-2 a week due to her ezcema. This means that Jack only now gets one at that time too. It used to be every night pre molly up until about 7-8 months, but then it became every other or every third night the bigger I got with Molly, as towards the end Mum was doing it.
Because most nights I am putting the children to bed by myself as DH isn't home in time, they get bathed 1-2 times a week, as I am so shattered that trying to bath 2 children every night on my own would just be too much. When they are bigger and more self sufficient we may go back to it, providing Molly's ezcema has cleared up.0 -
And same here! We're routine freaks. I swear that's why Imogen is (mainly) so good at bedtime. Although we do vary things on holiday and she gets bathed, then into pjs, then we go out for something to eat. She does happily go to bed when we get back.
We only wash hair every other night or so. And she only has Oilatum plus (due to eczema). We use some stuff from Earth Friendly Baby which is all natural. It was a gift when she was born and still going strong 20 months later. :money:MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

My 1st episode lasted for over a year and needed a steroid injection but the 2nd I had at the beggining of the year and it only lasted a couple of months. So defo light at the end of the tunnel if that is what it is. I was sent to rheumatology the 1st time to. Hope your better soon.
Thanks Scruffy,
The rest from work is really helping, the swelling has really gone down in my ankles. I'm still waking up stiff in the morning but taking my last dose of anti-inflammatories before bed really helps.
DH bathes Katie everyother day unless she has covered herself in food! She loves her baths, but at the start we only bathed her once or twice a week as she had really flaky skin and I didn't want to make it worse. We use Halos and Horns for bubbles.
She is also quite happy to have a shower, she thinks it great fun.

The baby bath support is great, though now my LO has turned 4 months I just lie her down in a shallow bath and she loves it! She goes mental giggling and splashing and "swimming" up and down. It's lovely as I think she is teething at the mo and in such a foul mood all day, but bathtime is the one time of day she will look happy and smiley.
She is refusing to sleep in her cot at the mo! She was sleeping through the night and everything for ages but now is sleeping very lightly and can sense when she is in her cot and just screams. So she has been sleeping next to me for the last few nights. Hopefully this will right itself though I am worried I am getting her into bad habits.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Jo, I know it might go against the grain a bit, but if you and she are happy with her sleeping next to you, then just roll with it, please don't worry about bad habits
Much nicer for you both to actually get some sleep rather than battle with it all.
I never intended to co-sleep but there's a lot to be said for the path of least resistance, and at 10 months DS is fine in his cot now0 -
