Mazcabs Hope everyone especially LO is feeling better soon ((((((get well hugs))))))
LuT Good luck with the jobs and I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya. Also good luck with the potty training.
Does anyone know if I'm still Breast feeding Ellie and a brother or sister comes along would I produce colostrum for the baby or would I have to stop breast feeding before becoming pregnant?? I hope someone understands the daft question!!!!Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
BF is a natural contraception so your chances of falling pg whilst BF are reduced (but not out of the question).
I fell pg with DS2 whilst I was still BF DS1. Mind you he was 21 months old then. However, as soon as I found out I was pg, DS1 seem to go off the boob, and I stopped BF him. Have to say that my boobs were very sensitive then too, so it was a blessing in disguise.
Regarding whether you would produce colostrum I imagine you would, but not quite sure how it works when you are feeding two ... google tandem BF and see what you come up with.0 -
aww mazcabs hope ur lil one is feeling better now xx
we went to the bf cafe yesterday and my suspicions where confirmed riley has thrush but its been caught quick so we now have some oral cream for him which of course he hates.
more shockingly the woman from mum2mum (a bf support helpline nd group) noticed he has a tooth coming he hasnt even smiled properly yet so that was a bit of a shock.riley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0 -

Hi Honey.
If Riley has thrush (assume in his mouth because he doesn't like the taste), you will have thrush on your nipples too, so you need to treat your nipples (should be the same cream) otherwise you'll just keep re-infecting him.:p0 -
Well, baby is definately Poppy's sibling! :rotfl:S/he totally refused to play ball!. Baby had its back to my tummy and its arms and legs tucked into, well, the foetal position! I was even sent out to do a wee to see if that made any difference
. Everything that the sonographer could see was fine but I have to go back on Tuesday morning so she can check the heart, limbs and cord (and hopefully the s@x!
). So, I'm still in Team Lemon for the time being
.
Maz, hope Henry is feeling better now x
Lots of good luck, Lu T!
Hope Riley gets over the thrush soon, Honey and congrats on his first tooth!!!

Hope Riley feels better soon and congrats on the tooth.
Hope baby moves next week SB. James was all curled up and we couldn't see what sex he was on the scan, so I didn't find out till he was born.
Charlotte got her first shoes yesterday. They're pink with a cross over strap and a flower emboidered on the front - aww! Here I go again on my own....0 -

This is from Babycentre:
Yes. Your body will carry on producing milk throughout your pregnancy. It's even possible to continue feeding your son after your new baby is born - this is called tandem feeding.
Breastfeeding during pregnancy is fine for most women, although it's important to eat well. Hormonal changes in the early days may give you sensitive nipples making breastfeeding difficult. Nipple stimulation through breastfeeding or making love will cause mild uterine contractions, but, for most women, these are not strong enough to create a problem. However, if you have a history of premature delivery or miscarriage, or if you are bleeding, then you might need to think about weaning your older child.
During the fourth or fifth months of your pregnancy, your milk reverts to colostrum (the nourishing pre-milk produced by your breasts in the first few days after birth), so the taste changes and volume decreases. Some children decide to wean themselves at this point, although others persevere. If your son wants to continue, don't worry about using your colostrum up; your body will continue to produce this special milk until your new baby needs it. If your son is under a year old, and therefore nutritionally dependent on your milk, you might need to keep track of his weight gain at this point."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
