Boots always have good offers on nappies and they can usualy be bought at 10pp nappy - best value I have come across yet.
Also sign up for a boots card and joine their parenting club and you get discount coupons and freebies and double points for baby products in the shop.

Never introduced myself: I'm a new mum to 7 months old gorgeous boy. Got lots of experience with babies and young children from previous jobs and it helps a lot.
Avoided spending money on lots of baby gear that I knew we wouldn't need!

congratulations on the birth of your boy HONEYBE21 and welcome to the thread. Good to meet you NIFI26!!

I have a big one (boy that is) aged 10 and a little boy called Archie who will be 8 mths old on saturday. I go to a local breastfeeding group too.. I had bucket loads of problems breastfeeding when DS2 was very small so it was pretty invaluable to me really - it is definately one of the friendliest groups I have been to.

Yes you particularly eat a lot early on when breastfeeding. I was eating three large meals, loads of snacks (toast and fruit/dried fruit) and was having four marmalade sandwiches when I got up to feed in the middle of the night. I think the davice is to eat to appetite rather than a specific amount.

Hi Honeybe, congratulations on the birth of your son! Riley is a lovely name :)

Don't worry about what you are eating for now, milk production isn't really affected by how much/what you eat/drink, though you may find you are thirstier, I drank gallons in the early days. I didn't have much of an appetite for a couple of weeks after the birth and was nauseous a lot of the time but that soon passed and I started eating everything in sight! :D 8 months later I still am... Just eat whenever you want and whatever you want, find things that appeal to nibble on, nuts and raisins are good for energy, and get your husband to bring you drinks and chocolate every, ooh, half hour or so :D

I was a nervous wreck over the heel !!!!! test but my DS slept through it!
