Hi JoJo, we have one of these http://www.johnlewis.com/230475122/Product.aspx

They are fab, definitely worth the money as your hands are free, and Elliot has loved kicking and splashing in it. He literally soaks DP and looks so excited and screams with delight. He has just outgrown it at 8 months and 21+lbs, it was time to stop using it when he began pulling up so he just sits in the bath on a mat now.

:rotfl:You're just a nicer more generous person than me!!! I did offer it to a friend, but they already had one.

It was actually a grandma that bought it - she'd come to buy my moses basket as a spare at her house and then asked what else I had to sell... she took virtually all my stuff in one fell swoop!

I had my first baby last December, he wil be 7 months on the 5th.
Luckily I have many friends who have babie and older children so got lots of hand-me-downs. Very useful as some things are only used for a couple of months or so (i.e bath seats, bouncers) and it's great that we did not have to spend the money on them.

I intend to hand down further as much as I can, rather than sell straight away.

The help we got (and are still getting) is invaluable and I would like to be able to offer it to others.

Anything that we can't find a good home for goes on ebay straight away, but not before we try to pass in on.

If all my friends sold their old baby equipment I would probably be about a grand worse off - and that's before he was even born!

So there. Just wanted to share my experience.

Hope you are all having a wonderful parenting time!

"You cuold literally stop and start her crying just by tipping her between horizontal and vertical."

Yep Ruby is exactly the same, shes just too nosey - I have propped the back up to the second sitting position and always lie her flat when she falls asleep. its either this or dont leave the house now until shes sitting unaided lol:rotfl:
I know they're not for everyone but have you considered a sling? We didn't use it on purpose to avoid the crying while lying down but in hindsight it probably did help that.

I was wondering what to do when Poppy outgrows her bath station which I'm sure will do quite soon. She loves the water and, just like Elliot, drowns her Dad at bathtime! So thanks everyone. Now I know I don't have to buy another gadget and she can go straight in the big bath!

    Hi
Ellie just lies on a non slip bath mat in the big bath and totally loves all the freedom, she rolls from back to tummy and loves playing with her toys when on her tum.

re sitting up in Pram Ellie was in her pushchair part by 3 1/2 months coz she just loves being nosey (typical female):rotfl:

  • Thanks Susan - I might ask around my friends to see if they can lend me one - but we went for a lovely long walk today and she was great looking around and playing then when she fell asleep I just lay the back down so we might be ok. :p
