Pleased the scan went ok September Baby.
We've had a lovely day. I met some other lasses from another board I use, and we've spent all day in the pub (nattering and not drinking!) I took Charlotte and she loved having all the attention from everyone.
I don't have colleagues as I'm self employed, so it's nice getting out and just chatting to people.
Made me wonder if there is any mileage in a board for mothers who don't actually see anyone on a day to day basis. I know I sometimes get lonely in my job, and was lonely when I was a single parent and would have liked some place just to natter with other mothers. Might be a project to persue when I've got some spare time.
Sounds like a candidate for a board in the MSE Arms. That's a place just to chat generally I think, though I've never used it.
More clinginess here from Imogen at nearly 18 months. She literally wraps herself round my leg and at times won't even tolerate Daddy  She is (still) teething - we have only 9 so far - so I'm sure there's some of that wrapped up in it.
In her bed Imogen has Bobo (a bear which looks like Mr Smithers' bear off The Simpsons), Upsy Daisy, Iggle Piggle and Maka Paka minis, a v small Humphrey's corner elephant with no name, a TY beany dog/lamb with no name and an andrex puppy called Dog. She does have a lovely bear called Scrooge which her aunt won in a 'name that bear' competition last Christmas, but he's not really a fave. Today she went for her nap and insisted on having Bobo (a large-ish bear) plus Daisy and IP all in her arms when she got into bed!
Having a night off the diet today as it's my B'day tomorrow. I'll be 29 and am slowly mourning the passing of my 20s. I know, "just wait til it's your 40s approaching" but I'm still feeling a bit odd about it. Tomorrow we're going to Ask for lunch (I've a 2-4-1 voucher :money: ) and OH has splashed out on a VIP shopping trip at Debenhams for me. I have some cash to spend (which he stipulates is for me and not for work clothes), a make-up lesson, coffee and cake in the cafe, a glass of wine and a personal shopper for the whole day!! It's so sweet. He said he just wanted me to have some time, and money, to myself. We are doing okay financially and I'm still freelancing, so we actually have some savings, which is fab.
Better go, he's just brought my tea in. Hope you're all having nice weekends.

Happy Birthday Lu for yesterday, hope you had good day.
Quick question.. LO is eating homemade food at home and nursery and will have everything we offer him, no refusals so far, which is great :j but he now wont eat out of jars!
Now I know in a way thats good but I do remember reading on the forum a while back that its obviously handy if they will eat both in case of emergencies. I've been trying the HIPP range, he's ok on sweet stuff but not the main meals...
Which jars/tins do you use ?Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

The only success I've ever had with jars are the Hipp organic ones, which I actually don't think look or smell too bad compared to some I've tried over the past few years with both my dds. Which age group ones have you tried? With Isabel she really hated pureed stuff from the word go, so I went straight onto the chunkier 15 months ones much earlier than that with proper pieces of pasta or chunks of meat etc and she ate them much more willingly, so it could be the texture he doesn't like.0 -
Thanks Purplepatch
I did wonder about trying stage 2 as only been on stage 1 and did think that my food is never as pureed as the jars especially with pasta which is LO's favourite.
Only wanted to try and sort this because going to Disneyland Paris at end of july and wondered what LO will be able to eat.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0
