There are some that say cabbage can help reduce milk supply although it's not been proved - I reckoned it was worth a try!! Get yourself down Tescos and if you want to be really mse, you can always dish up bubble and squeak with it once you've done your stuff :rotfl:
    Mmmmmm.....warm, milky cabbage! :D

Becles Glad you had a gd holiday bet it wa sa thought to come back, especially with all the washing you will have, unless your an ultra organised mummy and did it whilst away!!

No I didn't do the washing while we were away! I just rubbed out odd bits of things in the sink as needed.

I just leave a case on the floor in the room, and everyone stuffs all their dirty stuff in it. Then when I come home I just have to wheel it next to the washer and make a start.

Hope your boobs feel better this morning Snaggles.

Aww, snaggles! Hope your boobs are behaving themselves today!

Glad you had a good time, becles. Sounds a lovely resort!

Dormouse, make sure you still get your BookStart Bag thingy as I was told my HV would bring it tomorrow. It would just bug me so much to miss out :o:D.

Don't worry Septemberbaby Poppy will be fine I put Ellie into her own room just after 3 months and we have never looked back since. The only thing is you can't jump back into bed to feed her!!!!

Thanks, scruffy. Today is day 3 and thankfully she has settled herself just as quickly as when she was in our room so she must be getting used to it! Also thinking of investing in some blackout curtains as her room is at the back of the house where the sun is in the afternoon .

Fortunately I haven't had to do any night feeds since 8w :D and she is waking up at her usual 7ish so fingers x'd it stays that way! ;)

Becles - sounds like the holiday's done you a world of good. Have I missed something? How come it was free? And where do I sign up?!!

Re travel cot - we have the Oomo Roomo. http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000X473L2/sr=1-17/qid=1212699201/ref=sr_1_17/026-8157168-2302825?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44360031&mcb=core

Not the cheapest one at about £70 but it is one of the largest - about 1m square - and Imogen has just happily spent a week in it at my mum's. It has a lovely thick mattress and comes with a bag and handy wheels. It's also incredibly light - which is the main reason we bought it. HTH

Hubby's off tomorrow so we're going on a trip to Tropical World which has a butterfly garden, lots of fish and various other creepie crawlies. Think we're going to take a picnic. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather!

I'm working on Saturday (at The Deep in Hull if anyone's in the area. You'll find me in front of the marquee in the car park!) so tomorrow's part of our weekend.

Re blackout curtains - we bought blackout linings which aren't that effective as the curtains are on a pole set slightly out from the window. We also have a blackout blind which I push into the window aperture, but the room still isn't black! I'd say dim is about as good as it gets, but we're happy for Imogen to sleep in the semi-light as she needs to be able to.

Ellie was up to the hospital today to get her heart murmur checked. It is just an innocent flow murmur so nothing serious, thank goodness.

SeptemberBaby I would get lined curtains/ or line the ones you already have. If you have a dunelm mill they have cheapish blackout lining ready made to curtain size.

Lu T Hope you all ahve a great time at tropical world

I paid with Tesco clubcard vouchers

If you want some tips on how to collect lots of points, then let me know. I'm a bit of a points addict :o

Yes please for the tips! I got our eurotunnel crossing using the points, you may remember Izzy scribbled all over the deal tokens when they arrived, but luckily Eurotunnel didn't refuse to take them :D

I used to use all the points codes with my shopping but they've really dried up lately and I'm not collecting many any more.

Could I have tips please too Becles? We've just changed £40 of vouchers into deals but were thinking about trying to save up for a holiday for 2 years time. Any hints and tips welcome!

Scruffy, glad the hospital appointment went well, I bet you are relieved.

Glad you had a good holiday Becles, and Purplepatch, thank goodness they accepted your deal tokens! We are hoping to go to France next year and take our folding camper, so I think we are going to use the Tesco clubcard deals to pay for the crossing too.

Lu, we love Tropical World, hope you have a fun day. Ryan's favourite bit are the meercats, or beer cats as he thinks they are called!

I'm happy to report that after a very uncomfortable day yesterday, my boobs finally got the message that their services are no longer required last night, and I have woken up much more comfortable this morning (but sadly much less perky ).
