scan went well, baby didn't like the probe thing and kept kicking it and trying to move out of the way, am showing a few days earlier than they said but are leaving my edd as it is on oct 11th. i also resisted the urge to find out the sex so it's a yellow bump for us.
Good for you! I don't want to know either until the birth. For me theres no need to unless there were a family history of an inherited condition affecting one gender or another.
Heard someone on the TV say they wanted to know the sex so they knew what colour to paint the nursery:eek: My babies all slept in my room until at least 6 months, and I am not decorating a room in a 'babyish' way for anyone!!! Plain walls all round!

I think I maybe either have braxton hicks today but its been a bit uncomfortable and I am only 24 weeks.

Wow, sounds like a fab holiday, Becles! :T :j Even better when it's free :D

We're off to a freebie Mr T holiday to Mallorca in a couple of weeks, I'm so looking forward to it. :j

Glad the scan went well, Heather! :T

SB- we never had an 8 month check with Alex. Not sure whether they just don't do them in our area (DS1 had one when we lived in another area), or maybe they've forgotten about us! I'll need to investigate.

Arrghhh....help......someone has stuck two boulders down my top and they are really hurting.......when will my milk go away???? It's been 4 days and I have gone beyond Jordan territory now! :rotfl: :o

Dormouse - it's called the 8-12 month check where I live so I think different areas must do them at different stages - how old is your LO? I've forgotten, sorry.

Snaggles, express a tiny bit - just to relieve them. As long as you don't start expressing in a manner that stimulates supply you should be okay. Also you might want to take a painkiller too (even if it is just paracetermol) :grouphug:

Thank izoomzoom, I will try that - they are really achy. I'm sure when I stopped bf my son, the milk just went away, no swelling or anything. I didn't really expect this, but I suppose I will look back and laugh!

Have you tried cabbage leaves? I used savoy cabbage, not sure it sped up the process any but it was quite soothing wrapping them enormous rock-hard throbbing puppies in nice cold leaves straight from the fridge! :o:rotfl:

    Hope it gets better soon.

Oh Snaggles I don't know how it feels as I haven't quite got to that stage yet but I'm dreading it!!
    (((((((HUGS)))))))
Not that, that helps the pain go away but a wee hug never goes a miss

I used cabbage leaves while I was breastfeeding to soothe any aches and pains, but I hadn't thought to use them now - hmmmm, haven't got any.....leaf-wise all I've got is basil or spinach....not sure those leaves are going to be big enough! :rotfl:

    Thanks Scruffy :)

It's not 'pain' pain, just discomfort, throbbing and aching really, I am just being soft.

There are some that say cabbage can help reduce milk supply although it's not been proved - I reckoned it was worth a try!! Get yourself down Tescos and if you want to be really mse, you can always dish up bubble and squeak with it once you've done your stuff :rotfl:
