DP found the tooth - do you mean he has to buy me a present? I like this rule a lot! (Er, it was my birthday last week, and I got a Wii, so on second thoughts... :o)

Sorry, fac, I was talking to Elliot :rotfl:. His Daddy has to buy him something (but you could also add your own rule too as DP will be none the wiser :rotfl::D).

Izoomzoom & Fac73 - I've been taking DD to structured swimming lessons since she was 5 months old, she absolutely loves it. The main point for me is that they teach the baby what to do if they fall in water. She just loves be in and under water! I'm just waiting for the results of the photo session to land on my doormat.

Re Breastfeeding - I wanted to give it a go, but was prepared to fail as I didn't know anyone who'd bf. I would never make anyone feel guilty for their choice, your body, your baby. I never expected to be bf a 13 month old with no plans to stop.

She gets much more excited at the sight of her bedtime cup of milk than she does at the sight of me in a morning (and who can blame her....it's not a pretty sight!!). :o:D
:rotfl: Snaggles, your posts do make me laugh. :T

I'm planning to stop BFing at one too. He's only having two milk feeds a day now (at 9 months) so hopefully it should be a smooth process (famous last words, LOL :p)

one handed typing cos bf samantha at the min ...

swimming wil cost about 24-26 pounds for a half term (about 6 weeks). it is done at the council pool ... pvt lessons can be very expensive. i was actually surprised to find lessons for such a young age - was just an add in the paper ...

michelle - re the cracked nipples (3x i've had it, 2x i got help, 3rd time didn't as ds2 was 16m old but my advise is go to every bf clinic there is, and keep asking for help. i bf ds1 for 21m with no probs so i thought i knew what i was doing ... but got it with both ds2 (2x) and dd, and it boiled down to my latch ... which really is VERY difficult to get 100% when you are so sore. dd also used to slip off a bit so i would start off okay but get help - hv, LLL, nct ... pity today is bh.

at home i also used to keep my boobs exposed and at its worst i would wear tea strainers in my bra to stop the nopple being squashed and the crack squashed ... hv also told me to try jelnets - almost like thin bandage in vaseline that you cut and apply to cracks - can get it from chemist ... also rugby-hold bf for about 1.5 days gave me enough healing time (as crack was under different strain) to start me on the road to recovery.

    good luck sweetie ...

DS has been going to private swimming lessons since he was 16 weeks old. A term of 10 lessons costs £90.

Green cabbage leaves really do help with sore boobs - if you keep it in the fridge they have an instant cooling effect, and they do seem to speed up the healing process. I always assumed it was a bit of an old wives tale, but it helped me quite a bit (I had cracks, blisters, bleeding, blocked ducts....the lot!).

Never had engorged swollen overfull boobs, but have heard that cabbage leaves do wonders to ease them ... never thought to try them for cracked nipples though.

Hopefully I never have to ...

    :rotfl: I like it!

I felt like a dairy when I was fully breastfeeding - I was thinking of putting a bell round my neck and changing my name to Daisy for a while! :o

It's not so bad now she's almost weaned, but at one point I swear I was producing enough milk for the whole street.

Since DS has been using the toilet on a regular basis I'd noticed some yellow stains on the underside of the toilet seat. I'd tried scrubbing etc, but got nowhere with getting them off. However, a few seconds with 'erase away' has removed them completely. :D

I assume it's the same sort of product as any of the other erasers? I got it from Home Bargains - here is what they looked like:
