Congrats Bailey. Hope it all works out once the shock sinks in!

My boys are two years apart and they're the best of friends most of the time. They have the same group they play in at school and in the street as well. When the eldest went away on a school trip, the youngest was in tears at home because he missed him so much!

I don't think Charlotte will have the same relationship with them and can imagine her being the irritating little sister when the boys are teenagers :D

As for what we eat, I've just done our meal plan for this week so I can tell you exactly!

Monday - Jacket potatoes, beans, salad
Tuesday - Quorn piri piri (quorn in a spicy green pepper and white wine sauce)
Wednesday - Tuna Pasta bake (great for hiding veg in!)
Thursday - Quorn mince & pea curry and rice (like a veggie keema...I think that's what it's called?)
Friday - Chicken casserole (chicken thighs, carrots, onion, potatoes, swede plus whatever else I've got to hand)
Saturday - Quorn (are you sensing a theme here?) sausages, mashed potatoes, peas, gravy
    Sunday - Turkey fajitas

Breakfast is cereals or toast, lunch is either soup, salad or sandwiches, and we don't really do desserts (on diets ) so we just have fruit/yoghurt/fruit salad etc.

But £50 per week is half what we spend and we don't buy nappies 'cos she's in real ones!

Seriously need to think about what we spend on shopping but we don't spend on anything else really, no going out or anything, so I figure we may as well eat properly. Plus I'm doing Slimming World to try to lose my last stone, so I need lots of fresh fruit, veg and meat, which tend to be the most expensive things. LOL

Glad to hear you more positive Bailey. You already have pretty much everything you need to get you through the first few months of new baby. I had no shame dressing Imogen in (slightly) blue stuff which was handed down to us by a friend. It doesn't really matter what they wear does it? So much so that we put her in a white baby grow with baby blue cuffs in the hospital and people kept thinking she was a boy. People are so colour-ist these days!

Lu - we eat very little meat because none of us really like it, just the occasional bit of chicken or fish, which probably makes our shopping bill much cheaper.

We eat loads of fruit and veg, but I buy Smart Price everything! We find they taste the same, just don't look as pretty and sometimes go off quicker, but that's not a problem in our house lol!

If you like I can post a typical shopping list?

Moozikgal - congratulations on the wedding! And I may well be coming to you for breastfeeding advice at some point lol. :)

Not problems exactly - just a b/f hating mother, a MIL who thinks it's unhygenic and a friend who thinks it's disgusting, that's all, lol!

I don't suppose you know anything about green poo do you? :D

I've heard it's supposed to mean they're getting too much foremilk and not enough hind milk, but she seems to be latched on okay, I feel 'empty' once she's fed, and she's putting on weight, so I'm not sure. The hv doesn't seem worried, and it's only some nappies that are green, most are 'mustard and cottage cheese'! :o
