I've just been reading that thread funnily enough....phew, he has some 'issues' hasn't he?!

one or two yeah
  • Hi ladies, Just a quick question. I will update about my meeting with the HV later on but I only have a min whilst waiting for Jack's bottle.

When I was pregnant with Jack from the moment I ovulated to several months into my pregnancy I had sore boobs. Is it still possible to be pregnant and not have this as a symptom?. I am a couple of days late but have had period pains for over a week. Don't want to buy a test as trying to save money and hoping I am just late that's all.

    Just after opinions really.

    Thanks.

Having posted this you know I am bound to start today :)

I had sore boobs with DD1 but not so much with DD2. I didn't really have many symptoms with DD2 other than a missing period. I also used to get cramps akin to period pain during both pregs especially in the early days.

Are you usually regular as clockwork? If not, I'd give it a week or so before bothering to buy a test.

Cripes. Is another baby on your lifeplan agenda?
  • No its not, if this is real its a surprise!!!
    Thanks purplepatch.
I think it will happen this weekend.
Although I still have a test from the first time a pack of three. I only used two, but cos its a digital one I want to save it for a almost certain result, not a guess.

Jack is having his first 2 oz break on the floor, so I'll quickly update you.

His weight is fine 18lb exactly. His amount of milk is fine. Him being pickly is something i'll have to be patient with. She recommended baby led weaning, where now he is 7 months nearly he can have chunks of food i.e. if i'm having a chicken sarnie, give him a bit of bread or chicken to nosh on. Rather than puree, I think someone else suggested that. Yesterday I have a fromage frais, he was very intersted in that, so it was one for mummy one for Jack!!!!

We will see how today goes.

    How are you today purplepatch?

I'm feeling much better today thanks as she's slept through all night!!!! Yayyyyyy!!! Doesn't happen often :D

Yep, it was me that said about the finger food rather than pureed slop. I get much more success with that. Rather typical as for DD2 I splashed out on a friends secondhand babyfood steamer/blender thing  While we were on holiday we discovered that she had a liking for really hard french bread, croissants and ... saute potatoes cooked in duck fat!! Don't suppose that's on the HV recommended foods list though :rotfl:

There is an interesting website here for babies that prefer more solid food. Have a read for some ideas.

Keep us posted with the other...er....issue ;) Good luck!
  • Thanks for the link and yes i'll keep you posted. I'm not sure what I want now a yey or a nay!!

Bailey, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, although I'm not sure whether I'm crossing them for a yes or a no! :) Glad all went well with the health visitor.

Purplepatch, glad you had a good nights sleep! Duck fat sauteed potatoes, must remember that one when it comes to weaning time :rotfl:

  • Snaggles, thanks for that, i'm not sure if I want a yes or no either. Funnily enough I keep doing a knicker check like in the good old days of TTC and feel hopeful and worried at the same time.
  • im like that, no matter how bad the timing might have been, there is always a dollop of dissapointment mixed in with the relief when the test turned neg
  • Well its getting on for half nine and nothing yet. I have a funny feeling that its going to show up in time for Father's Day tomorrow. I've still had pains on and off all day. I do have to say though that I am tempted to do a test in the morning, I found a cheapo ebay one today in a drawer.

Can't decide........... but at least that would tell me one way or the other and I can stop getting anxious.
