Hi everyone, Hope you don't mind me joining your club! I'm new to MSE but have an 8 month baby girl and just resigned from my job (long journey and didnt pay enough to cover extortionate chlidcare fees) so am pretty deperate for money saving tips right now!

You know that Girls Aloud song 'Love Machine'? I sing that to Natasha, but I change the words to 'I'm just a milk machine......'"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi roseycozy, welcome!! You'll pick up plenty of tips around here, I'm a bit behind you as my baby is only 6 weeks old, but some of the others have older babies and will no doubt have plenty of tips for you.
One thing I notice is that Boots have their own brand nappies on special offer at the moment, they're really cheap (£1.50 for 24 newborn size) AND you get advantage points (to save up for a treat for Mummy!!)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Make your own baby food. Those jars are so expensive.
Consider washable nappies. If not Tesco own brand nappies are cheap and just as good as brand names.
Buy basic cheap clothes in supermarkets, Primark etc., for rolling round at home in, and just a couple of nice things to get changed into when you go out. Here I go again on my own....0 -

I'm going to be singing that when I feed her now :rotfl:
Have mastered the art of balancing her on my legs so I can hold a book while I feed her, and I'm working away through stuff I haven't had time to readHere I go again on my own....0
