Happy birthday Charlotte!

Nice to meet you Snagglepuss - sorry I can't answer your milk question.
Pleased to see you back scruffy96uk. Hope you've been ok.
My little girl is 1 year old tomorrow. Where did the year go?She's been cruising round the furniture today and she's desperate to walk unaided.
 HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLOTTE!!!
Archie is 6 months old today and crawled for the first time - daddy spent the morning putting a huggies wipes packet (Archies toy of choice at the moment) across the room and cheering him along while videoing his efforts. :j good job I've just ordered a babydan lite from boots.com - they are having a extra points weekend so I used a £10 discount code (with free delivery) that I got when joining the parent club and got £18 worth of points towards xmas! Not as money saving as freecycle but I never seem to get what I want on there any more!!MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -

Wow becles she is adorable, I'm not a dress person but she just looks soooo cute. Hope you all had a lovely day
I know she is prpbably in bed but happy birthday to charlotteEveryone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Ok how many other people now you and your little ones routines down to a tee like you do?? Well in my case not many actually even OH doesn't know it!!
So I have typed up an Ellie routine right down to how much baby rice she gets for tea etc.
The only way I did this is incase anything were ever to happen to me or OH so someone else could look at it and be able to look after her.
It might sound crazy but after being in a serious car crash 2 years back you just never know what life might through at you!!
Just an idea to think about and I told my mum today where she could find it incase the unthinkable ever happened.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Happy birthday to Charlotte! :bdaycake: Such a cutie in her gorgeous dress! :happyhear And where has the year gone
And I love all the presents she got! The wooden toys are brill, and why is it no baby can resist ITNG. :rotfl:
Having said that, Alex loves the Teletubbies. He has a couple in his room (DS1's old ones) and he waves night-night to them before he goes to bed - he started doing it all by himself! So cute! :happyhear0 -
I got the wooden toys in Tesco.
I'm most excited about the coloured wooden bricks. We'll be able to do so much mathematics with those in a year or so.
Dad was a maths teacher so I'm a bit of a maths geekHere I go again on my own....0 -
Becles those photos are so cute. Did you make the cake yourself? It looks very impressive. I've been meaning to put up some photos from Alice's birthday but haven't got round to it yet.scruffy96uk wrote: »Ok how many other people now you and your little ones routines down to a tee like you do?? Sorry guys need to rant for a bit.
Well that was the night from hell ( I know its only the start of many!!). Put LO to sleep as normal and all calm.. pottered around doing bits and went up to bed reasonably early as in office today. After being asleep for an hour LO stirred and I managed to settle him while in his cot... then at midnight he started crying uncontrollably (never heard anything like it before) and arching his back. Just got him settled and laid down with me and then started again..(happened a few times) Eventually I went downstairs and slept with him on the sofa.. but he must have woken up every hour with the same thing and so I am now knackered in work while he is at my mums....
Does this sound like teething, he has been dribbling continuously for the last 2 months? At first I thought it was a bad dream but woke him up and he still continued....plus I know it was warm last night
Worst of it was this morning when pushing him to my mums on way to work he starts yawning away.. cheeky monkey
PS I feel better for that, thanksMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
scruffy - yes I've thought about doing this too but like susan said the routine evolves so quickly that it changes from one month to the next. Plus most people will only follow the bare bones of it anyway - it's a cruel fact of life that granny/nanny etc (whether mum or mil) will ALWAYS think they know better than you on some/most aspects of childcare (unless you have a mil like my cousin who seems to be a saint!) and they will go their own way anyhow. My MIL currently pipes up with sly "suggestions" dispite the fact I have 10 years of being a mum under my belt  plus I read lots of books and have acces to the internet - I doubt I really need someone telling me to use start giving my lo water/food/sleep at certain times.
Becles - love the photo's - made me feel quite broody (how nuts is that!) It's my sisters birthday today but we never had a great idea like that cake - it's very good.:T
Hi Mazcabs - sounds like tummy pain to me (arching back) etc my lo has the same problem on occasion due to the formula feed at the end of the day - I have to be really careful to wind him properly - an adjustment to a change of food/ feeding patterns perhaps?MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0
